I still don’t rate Grant, even though he scored a decent goal at West Ham on Saturday. Maybe he will now improve in leaps & bounds. The bigger concern is Taylor’s drop in form since Grant was sold.
He is. I see some of our fans are still desperately trying to claim that Vetekole could yet return to his old self. From what I have seen of him, there is (sadly) absolutely no sign of it. He looks miles off the pace & a shot footballer. When he is released by us this summer his next career move will be down, not up.
Achilles injuries are bad enough even when properly managed, and can result in a permanent loss of performance level. So it would be hard to prove conclusively that mismanagement is to blame for Igor's decline. A bit like the not proven verdict in Scots law (or Scotch law as AHLL would say), which means we know you did it but can't prove it.
Nice to see the thread title changed @Royston Vasey . I always think we had bought a new player when I see Karlan Grant.
Really agree with Royston, never rated Grant, felt he scored so many for us this year as Taylor dragged defenders away making space for him, and the bottom half of this league is weaker than it’s ever been which without looking at stats I’d assume is who he scored the majority of his goals against. Scoring 3 goals in the prem in 2 months though, maybe I’m wrong and there is a player in there, will never forget though that his last appearance for us was a 0-0 draw where he missed a late pen, dick
Why does it feel to me that eachplsyer (whether young or older) who leaves us goes onto better things, and makes the transfer/payment look like pocket change ?
