If people like Klopp sat back and reflected on what's happened they would realise that media people love controversial issues and get talked about including about themselves. Nobody gains (except the media) when players and managers get involved in this kind of argument. There can only be one winner and it's is not LFC <doh>

Neville: "But I've said it before, I like this team a lot better than the team of last season, even though they might be in a worse points position."

    Might be?

Oh, Karius can have a go back but we all know the way he should have behaved was to keep schtum and play out of his skin. Just a neutrals perspecive what he's done hasn't helped the team, its shone the spotlight further on himself. As Carl has said above, Klopp has now backed himself into a corner and Karius must now start.

Phil Neville is a prat. Surprised i've not seen more criticism of what he said (although i haven't watched MOTD2 yet only seen the headlines).

everything can be compared to van gaal's time in the positive though... like everything including the style of football.

    it smacks of desperation.

Yeah, never really rated Dudek as a keeper. Yes he is a hero of Istanbul (they all were :emoticon-0111-blush ) but you couldn't trust Dudek not to **** up

Neville: "It's a better-balanced team and even though the back four doesn't look great on paper, it's performing really, really well."

Ultra-defensive Man Utd just got its first clean sheet since October thanks to Spurs #bottlingit

    @bobby,

Yeah, of course he's got a right to have a go(provided he doesn't break any FA conduct laws/rules), as for Klopp defending a player he signed for the club backing himself into a corner and now having to play him, nah, as with other players who thought they were indispensable at LFC he will be dropped if Klopp sees fit.

Not sure Klopp has backed himself into a corner. .

    1) like it or not he may never have had the intention of dropping Karius so cost him nothing to have a dig at the self appointed experts.

    2) Klopps a strong enough personality to state when and who gets picked by him. what he has said today was he won't be told by guys that couldn't do what he does who plays for his team.

That includes Carra by the way who has repeatedly stated he'd not manage because of the pressure. instead he decided to become one of the cretins who try and heap the pressure on. Big Brave man eh?

Their jobs and all. fair enough but why should someone who can actually do the real job let them say whatever they want uncontested?

Neville on £10m Origi: "Liverpool signed Origi for big money so there's a lot of pressure on him"

Origi: 21 years, 12 appearances, 3 PL goals
Pogba: 23 years, 14 appearances, 2 PL goals

What surprises me is that people like Klopp are surprised. That pundits like Nevilles are biased. Lineker is so biased towards Leicester it is unreal. Shearer cried and swore last season when the magpies cocked it up. Lawro and Carra are not exactly impartial as far as LFC is concerned.

The pundits spout biased crap. We know that. Carra has been even more critical than the nevilles of Karius . The best thing would have been to ignore it completely and not turn it into a national debating point.

a nice bit of support is no harm.

lineker enjoying his team's once in a life time win complete to boxer shorts fiasco is fine.. spiteful little snipers are just boring.

nothing better than seeing carragher and neville drop the suits and ties and have a banter. just be real.

I totally agree klopp was foolish feeding the trolls

There is absolutely no chance now of Karius not being the centre of attention in the next match.

The lad should have a great (or safe and quiet) match otherwise we will have massive headlines. Again.

On the trolls, Klopp could have defended Karius without attacking the nevilles. That by itself created the headlines
