I am going to Reims next month. Currently trying to convince Mrs SiK to spend our first night there at the football so I can assess him fully! Not going well so far though.
I am slightly concerned that while I am there everyone is going to start speaking French just to stop me being able to hear what they are saying about me.

This argument has been going on 2 years. Seriously, anyone who thinks Ghilas is good enough, wait til he comes back and then go and watch some reserve football. Go and watch him struggling to impress against Lincoln's juniors or Gateshead's reserves.
He's obviously got some ability but not enough and he doesn't have the attitude, the work rate or the physical presence to play in England.

I was at that Bolton match and saw him play pretty well when he came off the bench and grab that goal - and then saw him do 'ok' on anumber of other appearances in the PL (also off the bench).
I also saw him play at Ferriby a couple of times and he did nothing quite frankly.
All in all he has never really impressed me in the least and I can't understand why people think he is some sort of overlooked 'answer' to our goal scoring problems.
He's over paid, over hyped, over rated and now over there (in France). He can stay there!

Players out of favour always get a mention when we are lacking something i.e goals. In truth Ghilas is no better than what we have got and I'm certain we will be trying to get rid of him in the summer. If he finishes top scorer in Ligue 2, hopefully he has put himself in the shop window.
