Not sure what I think of this beyond the fizzling excitement at being linked with such a player and excitement for the year ahead!

Would love him here but he was only at Chelsea a couple of years ago so I would imagine his wages got inflated. Don't think he was good enough for them but would imagine he'd fit in nicely in any other team outside the top 6 or so.
 
Is this just a re-hash of the loan rumour that was doing the rounds in January?

We probably won't hear about any of our signings until the deal is done.
 
I really wish I called this thread "Kalou or Kalou-less?" now.

My first impression was "Wow" but on reflection hes not really a typical Malky player and not sure he's what we need or want.. Still pretty cool though.

Kalou-less is an average player with astronomical wages. I recall him being quite lazy too, not in the Malky mould.

Le Fondre on the other hand would be an outstanding signing.

Agree on Zamora, definitely don't want him here. Di Santo's a good player though and if Wigan go down I wouldn't mind if we put in a bid in for him.

EDIT: Should we have some sort of sticky for transfer gossip/rumours?
