Former Chelsea defender Tomas Kalas has a penchant for supercars as he unveils his latest purchase
Keen followers of Tomas Kalas' Instagram will be well aware of the Bristol City defender's status as the Robins resident petrolhead with the Czech Republic international posting clips of him in cars that aren't exactly your average runarounds.
On Wednesday, Kalas unveiled his latest purchase - a black and green Lamborghini Urus, fully customised in Glasgow and presumably delivered to his home in Long Ashton.
The arrival must have made for a nice welcome home present for Kalas who's been away on international duty with the Czech Republic in their bid to reach World Cup 2022.
Powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo VB engine, the SUV can go from 0 to 62 mph in 3.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 190 mph. It retails from £159,925.
In posting his new car on Instagram, with Kalas living just a few miles away from the Robins High Performance Centre in Failand, the City defender said: "When @johnb8888 who looks after you in car business for years sorts out this beauty for you.
"Love it or hate it but even if you think you hate it you secretly do love it."
City teammates were quick to react with midfielder Andy King posting, "Alive", Robins captain and close friend Dan Bentley adding a fire emoji, while Taylor Moore, Danny Simpson, Antoine Semenyo and Czech international colleagues Alex Kral and Theodor Gebre Selassie also commented.
Kalas played 90 minutes for the Czechs in their 2-2 draw against Wales but was an unused substitute for their 2-0 win over Belarus three days later. Jaroslav Silhavy's side are second in Group E, level on 11 points with Wales and five behind leaders Belgium with just one match remaining.
The 28-year-old is due back in City training today ahead of Saturday's Championship clash against Bournemouth, presumably rolling up Clevedon Road in his new motor.
