Could be an option as cover if he's fit.
when did he last play competitive football?
although didn't he leave cos he wanted to be down South so maybe it's not a good idea.

He left because his son was seriously poorly in a London hospital so fair play to him there.

I'd sign him in a heartbeat if we had the opportunity. Only 32 and assuming he's not a crock he'd easy be good enough for the championship.

I loved Kaboul and he was arguably better than Kone.
Im very sceptical about bringing an ex player back though. Ive had ex lasses filthy as feck in bed but i wouldnt shag them again

In our case it'd be like if you used to be good looking and rich but one year someone rearranges your face with their fists, then a year later you fall down a flight of stairs hitting your face on every one (you're also skint by this point) then your ex who was amazing in bed gets in touch and says that not only does she want you bone her for a couple of years she'll also coach your current girlfriend.

All for only 10K a week.

True story <laugh>.

i would love Kaboul and Defoe back we would win the league with those two in the side

Thats the dilemma, we went through it with Anichebe, and we would be lucky to see 90 minutes out of Younis, so its a no from me sadly, although I too loved them both, and they left only great memories when they moved on, sadly its how it should be left imo., but I would not mind at all if I was proved wrong. <ok>

Well I am afraid I don’t mate not strong enough mentally yet for me.

What are you basing this on, mate? One thing the team seems to have in abundance this year is character.

How many times have we come from behind to win a game? Or seen a dodgy refereeing decision send us down to 10 men only to fight back and secure a point regardless?

Not saying I think we're nailed on to win the league but to criticise the Lads' mental fortitude seems odd to me?

It’s just a personal feeling mate I just don’t think they are strong enough mentally to win the league but still think they will be there or thereabouts :emoticon-0148-yes:

I think all we need is a big centre half and midfielder to beef us up and let the other players shine. The confidence and ability is there
