The whole point of JWP is matching the technical skills he already has with a more creative and robust vision. Even the England manager seems to see James as one for the future, and no one is trying to force the pace of his development. I have always seen him as a possible future England and Southampton captain, and his being given this new contract just confirms that view. Writing him off because he hasn't set the worldon fire yet is just ridiculous.
