No, JWP has not been selected for the MCC ..

I was reading an interview with JWP today. Allegedly, Roy really rates the boy and of course all the focus is on the U21's Tournament. I was thinking about this as I enjoy the brilliant cricket being produced. While I have enjoyed NZ, I am an England fan and am really loving seeing this England team be so aggressive. And seeing players who have yet to shave.

So, the conventional wisdom is that you leave footballers to mature before getting them into the international team, but surely this cricket team proves the mythology of this. So should we promote players more rapidly in football? Saints have shown that if you're good enough you're old enough. Might England think they should do the same, rather than face another "oh-we've-qualified-but-oops-we're-****" tournament

There's one slight issue with this comparison.

Combined age of the 11 players in the England cricket team today - 277
Combined age of the 11 players that started for the England football team at the weekend - 275
