If the fans aren't happy with your decisions then ultimately they are going to vote with their pockets. Its what happened to the Venkys at Blackburn. Negative protests every home game and a drop in attendance. Not a good enviroment to run your business.

You may think the owners hold all the cards but the fans are the main part of a football club.

Muppet I can't agree with your stance in the article.

As the owner he wasn't happpy and made a change.

We were bloody aweful in the sencond half and you don't need experienced advisors to work that out.

You're strangely bitter about our owners already. As much as a legend Kenny is, we are not a one man band.

It didn;t work out, the PR element would of been enough on its own, so he was replaced.

Except recent History at LFC disproves your theoretically valid theory. For all our loud shouts it was a bank that forced the issue not us. We might have helped by being vocal but none of us stopped doing our bit for the club because of H & G and they DID get us into debt.

And maybe I'm wrong but don't the Venkeys still own the club & still do the hiring & firing. There was worse moments visually in the year before they actually fired him. Not so sure fan outrage had as much effect as you or they would like to believe. I got the distinct impression that part of the despair felt by the Blackburn fans was that the Venkeys felt relatively untouched by the bad press relating to their plaything.

Our of interest has there ever been an owner forced out purely by the actions of fans financially (voting with their feet)

Roy springs to my mind here (a bad few months from Aug to Jan), in his first six months he had you in 17th position, in Kenny`s last six months he had you in 17th form both were sacked, seems pretty consistant to me. If kenny had been allowed another twlve months and that form continued you would have been relegated, if Roy had been given another six months and the players started to play for him you could have ended that season in sixth. Someone earlier suggested the players should shoulder the blame for the poor showing in the second half of last season, if this is so should they also shoulder the blame for the poor showing in the first half of Roy`s season. It is up to the manager to get the best out of his players with tactics and motivation, both seem to have ultimately failed in this which is why they are no longer at your club.

Roy had a bad first day in the Liverpool job when in his first interview he begged Ferguson to forgive him for taking the job and said he wanted secret wine drinking sessions with the Utd manager.

“I know Sir Alex is not really a Liverpool man,” said *Hodgson, “so I’m a bit *concerned about my excellent relationship with him.“I sincerely hope he forgives me for moving north and hopefully we can have a glass of wine together, maybe in secret.“I hope that’s how he is going to see it – but he is one of the people I intend to ring to find out.“I rang the Fulham chairman (Mohamed Al Fayed). That was one phone call I had to get out of the way. Alex might be the next one.”

That is what is commonly known as humour (he had no problem sending Fulham teams out to beat United) but i guess you scousers have sore spot where United are concerned :p

Yeah,Woy's sense of humour also included telling us how good we were when we got beat by Everton and telling us to take many plusses from the defeat by our city neighbours.

He's a real barrel of laughs is Woy.

Yep he also dropped some Bxxllox with his interviews but i think he was trying to bring a sence of reality to your situation at the time, probably something none of you wanted or needed to hear.

Although I know you are just being a dildo (as per) I do agree with you on one point...plenty of the players should shoulder some blame for what happened to both managers. Not the only one but Torres playing like a spoiled child was undoubtedly unhelpful to woys cause.

However (and I realise you do it for wum purposes) you are missing the main crux of the argument. Its about what football actually means as a fan. Do I get the buzz every Saturday morning knowing that afternoon (or more likely Sunday these days) I'm going the match to see my team play under woy (<grr>)....or under Kenny :))) Do I look forward to it and feel part of it or am I just sitting watching woy footy and thinking about where I'm going to get wasted after the game and moan about how **** life is under a man who is really nice but just a bit ****?

Hope this cleaars up your dog **** argument...I am like a living forum poopa scoopa <ok>

  13. If you are just going to look at the results then yes. However, we dominated so many of those games to the point that we should have won a lot more with ease. I know that can be used in two ways though <ok>

I think we've pretty much covered Kenny's poor second half of the season. He struggled, the team struggled and he got the sack.

I rather remember (and talk about) the good times. Roy completely screwed us - there was only one man who could reunite the fans in such a short space of time and Kenny did that. He got us rallying behind the team and made us a club again. We started playing proper football, scoring goals and winning points. Perhaps he did 'too good' of a job which makes last season seem even worse, because we were expecting much more?
