2005? Pshaw, amateur - I was playing Champ Manager in 1993. I remember Christian Vieri being an outstanding 18 year old on it. Imagine my surprise when he went on to become the world's most expensive player.
I remember him most for missing a sitter of a header against the greatest nation in the world and thought he's really not that good.
Why is it people have a massive chip on their shoulder about proclaiming 'the greatest country / city in the world'? It's not a competition and isn't anything you can prove. It is entirely subjective by definition.
I was 5 and just starting school. I didn't even have a computer, I was playing stick guns outside! I've had them since the 2004 edition, they're brilliant, I'm in 2022 at the minute, think my record is on FM2011 when I got to 2051. Then FM2012 came out and I sacked it off.
I never got that far. I remember playing '93 and getting to 2010 and thinking '****ing hell, that's years away' before we had a power cut in our house and it ****ed it up so I had to start again. And then we got to 2010 in real life...
