If Watford have gained a football advantage then they should be deducted points - if not then justice done.

I hope Hull get 2nd though. Watford are basically a feeder club for a Italian side.

Sadly I think Udinese B will get 2nd. I can see them beating us but I think we will do them a favour by at least getting a point when the pressure should be off us at Hull.

Saying that id prefer Udinese B to Palarse and their comedy ultra fans.

Watford did not gain any advantage as their former owner took money due to them and put it in his own account so agreed justice was done
How can Watford be described as a "feeder" club when they themselves are being loaned players?
The Pozzos are rich and own Watford and want them to get players to help them get promoted. Cardiff's owners are rich and have helped them get players to get them promoted. The only difference is the Pozzos used loans and Cardiff's owners used debt.

i thought it was illegal for owners to own 2 clubs (let alone 3) and shuffle players between them. what if they play each other? i remember there was a big hoo haa about abramovic having an interest in CSKA moscow when they met in the champions league......

thankfully what watford have done will be outlawed next year anyway. so the pozzos will have to find another way to bend the rules!.........

I have no problem with teams having loan players or using the rules as a means to an end. If they are clever enough to see gaps then fair play to them.
Have nothing against Watford and I like Zola, think he can become a quality manager in the next few seasons.
In the past we have had all sorts of insults thrown at us and I reckon the next one will be "the championship is poor this season" when we go up. I guess that's why I keep on wanting us to open a huge gap between us and 2nd place, however, I am sure I can live with the insults

Every club has a thick fan and I'm glad I've found Cardiff's. International loans are legal - if they were not the Pozzos would have sold their players to Watford and then sold them back when they wanted to so would make no difference. Moneyt from one pocket to another. Owning more than one club is legal - unless you think the Pozzo family are hiding the fact they own 3

Taff - you have a good side, a good manager and your time has come - it has been quite a good Champiionship this season - look at how the ex Premiership clubs have struggled. Watford Hull Leicester and Palace and also Brighton and a few others have been good teams. You have won it fair and square - good luck in the Prem

It would not be disastrous for us at all - merely a disappointment - Zola always maintained that this season was too early for us to go up - but I doubt he would mind if we did. The whole loan thing is totally unimportant to us. As Pozzos own both clubs they can sell a player to Watford and include a clause that gives Udinese first refusal if Watford choose to sell. Since the money goes fromn one of their pockets to the other they lose nothing.

If you actually look at our games you will find we have used less than 5 loan players regularly and have more of our own home grown academy talent than almost any club in the Championship. The Pozzos are continuing to fund the Academy at the same level it was at. All we do not have is a huge debt burden.

If we go up we will probably be playing in front of far more fans than Udinese so who knows in time maybe they would be the second string - we will just have Italians not Malaysians as owners. At least our owners have not propsed a change of colours or the name of the club. I would prefer to be in Watford's long term position.

Also some fans need to be careful about so called "loopholes" - there are plenty of fans throughout England who see Welsh teams playing in an English league when they have one of their own as a "loophole" Maybe there will be a campaign to close that one.

I think Hull will go up and we will be in the play-offs where Palace or Forest will come through.

My preference though would have been for Watford and Leicester to go up

Theyve done nothing wrong to be punished.

I dont like what our owners have done.

Player wise we were left in a right mess a couple of seasons ago when we had far too many loans. Some of which were useless though.

However our board backed our new manager and we have rebuilt very quickly.

Watford have so many loan players and some of which will have attracted interest elsewhere.

Watford will look a totally different side next season.(maybe even if promoted.)

Hilts...I quite often read the views of fans from other clubs because I enjoy seeing what they think about how their clubs are doing, but I rarely comment on their posts.

This thread started off with what I thought was a misinterpretation of the FL hearing, and fair enough I would probably know more about the details than someone who had not been waiting for several weeks for the outcome. Somehow along the line the wrongdoings of our previous owner and the transfer policies/ loans has become rather mixed up. My comments so far have been only about the crook who somehow managed to get his hands on the club and almost finished it off.

I am not sure that we will get second place and if it comes to play offs I doubt that we will go up.

If we do not go up it will change little. Our owners have said from the start that they are in it for the long term and looking at their past record have little reason to doubt their word. They are football people not financial organisations who dip in and quickly out when they see there is no profit. The current rules are set by Fifa, not the FA or FL, and I suspect that the wheels will not move quickly enough to change things in a couple of months. That is just a guess on my part, but if we needed to strengthen our squad what makes anyone think we wouldn't by whatever methods that are legal?,

On that basis i think we have as much right as them to continue playing in that league structure which might include an elevation for one or both of us to the Premier League. Probably that was an ill advised and unhelpful post of mine as it diverted from the main stream of this thread and I have totally defended Cardiff, Swansea and the other Welsh teams who play in the "English" league - for the reasons you give partly - you actually were invited to join to help finances for the "English" league and just because now some Welsh sides may take "English" places in Europe is no reason to change now. Misguidedly I was trying to point out that when people accuse others of using loopholes they should remember that there are others who have a different opinion - and I would hazard a guess that if you took a poll in England the Welsh teams would be thrown out as they have their own league. (As you can imagine this gets debated from time to time on other boards - especially when Welsh teams get promoted - funnily enough we have an Icelandic fan who is quite strong in his views that Welsh teams should stick to their own league)

The fact is that this is not a loophole. The FL deliberately limited loans of domestic players and deliberately defined foreign loans ass transfers so they would not be counted. Strange and stupid decision in my opinion and one I would like to see changed as I cannot see how it matters where a loan comes from - but not a loophole so no reason to have a go at Watford.

There are always a few who don't let facts intrude on their prejudice but that is the way of the world and we have different views as well which is healthy. We have broken new ground as a club with this whole Pozzo adventure and most of us Hornets were very nervous at the start - without wishing to offend again I am sure it is similar to your fans on the change of colour and name - we were concerned that we would lost our "past" and in particular our Academy to a breed of foreign loans. We are pleased this has not happened but it is early days and we just hope that as the Pozzos are a footballing family - unlike our previous shmukky owner - we hope for a brighter future where threat of administration is a thing of the past
