You're trying to pretend Liverpool fans weren't responsible, yet your attempt at an argument is undermined with the passage that states the "blame should not rest solely with the English fans" - in other words, the Belgian judge agrees that Liverpool fans should shoulder the blame. As for trying to blame the police, was it the police who rushed the Juventus fans leading to 39 of them being killed? I think you'll find that it wasn't, and nor was it Juventus fans who got English clubs banned from European competitions for six years. It should also be noted your club tried to shift the blame onto Chelsea fans, with some bollocks about "southern accents" being heard in the stands instead of making a public apology for what happened as a direct result of their own fans' actions. And, no, I'm not a Sun reader - but unlike you, I read things before positing them, and understand the words contained within the body of the text.

And as Red asked, the last time we beat Man City twice in a season, those six points were what sealed our qualification for the Champions League.

even if the police and authorities were not up to scratch with organisation...had the Pool fans behaved like human beings then nothing will have happened. It could have been the most organised event in the world..however if a group of yobs want to display violence then it can easily be achieved..and was.
Winning it was amazing especially as it was against one of our rivals but at the time i'd still rather be in the CL.
