You realise the more you go on about what you did in the past, the more it highlights the fact you aren't matching those achievements in the present? Or the fact that you haven't looked so dominant at home or abroad since the back pass rule was changed?

Are you in the Champions League this season? No.
Were you in the Champions league last season? No
Will you be in the Champions League next season? Depends if there's a series catering gaffes afflicting Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle for the remainder of the season.

You aren't in a position to be knocked out of the Champions League by Italian sides, ageing or otherwise - which is good news for all English clubs, as your fans won't ruin our coefficient by attaching a bodycount to the final and getting them kicked out of European competition for several years.

You're the one on our board, dickhead.

Yup we got smashed by our rivals and it hurts, it hurts badly.

Fair play to Liverpool for winning the League Cup but i'd take 3rd and a CL spot over 6th and a League Cup, if you're honest then i'm sure you would as well.

Spurs targets atm - 3rd spot and FA Cup
Liverpool targets atm- 4th and won Carling Cup.

I know who I would rather be supporting at this moment in time.

You play like you did today, thinking it was all over at two nil, you'll be lucky to finish 5th. The league doesn't finish in February, like a lot of the idiots on your board seem to think. Utd next week. Good luck.

I agree, we'd like 4th minimum, but if we don't get that, todays result is already an improvement on the last few seasons, as we have a trophy in the cabinet.I think there are a few twists and turns between now and the end of the season for 3rd spot down. A lot of your fans think you are nailed on. I'm not so sure.

Firstly....a trophy is s trophy...I hated it when it was called a Mickey mouse trophy when we win it...in years to come no one remembers who came 3rd or 4th but we do remember years we win trophies.
Secondly...for a team that gave us Steven pike position Gerrard its a bit rich a pool fan digging at us for diving.
Thirdly enjoy your cup win ffs .... Talk about bad winners!
Finally we lost...so what we are still in 3rd and all to play for coys

We are unlikely to play as badly as that again this season, we have some tough games left but the only 2 teams that could rip us apart like that are out of the way now (Arsenal & City)

We don't think it's all over and 3rd isn't ours yet, as it stands we've achieved nothing and need to maintain our position to ensure we finish ahead of Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea, only once we do that will I celebrate a fine season.

Why are you on our board being obnoxious anyway, i'd be enjoying the victory at Wembley.

I can understand losing to Arsenal hurting, cannot see how Liverpool winning something does?

Liverpool's success in the cup has no vearing on spurs whatsoever, what does have a bearing on our win is the pure bullsh!t out of your lot since getting into the CL by scraping past young boys, as one of your goons quoted me as saying, "come back when you win something"

Hahaha, remember beating Young boys, remember the joy, and that was only qualification.

We beat a championship team that played to their strenghts very well I thought Cardiff made it a cup final with their display, right till the very end, not great football but it went right to the wire.

Pressure made it difficult and some underperform, it was a final and not a rotm league game at the Emirates where your lot bottled it and fell to pieces

You've just played against your biggest rivals and you're STILL talking about Liverpool?

Guess we're just a bigger club ;)

With all the chances we created we would have won easily with better finishers. <ok>

I'm not even going to get into an argument on this point with you, this quote sums you up adequately. An ignorant fool.

Yes, it's ignorant to point out that it was entirely the responsibility of the Liverpool fans at the Heysel Stadium that saw English clubs banned from all European competitions for several years.

Your club - and your fans - aren't very good at taking responsibility for their actions, are they?

Understandable, but when you won the League Cup against us a few years back it was the other way around with you and Liverpool, so what did winning it then mean to you?

To the fans: We got back into Europe
To the players: We qualified for Europe, let's phone it in for the rest of the season
To Juande Ramos: Esta victoria me mantiene en el trabajo durante muchos anos
To Damian Comolli: This vindicates me unsettling Martin Jol to bring in Juande Ramos, now I can really waste the transfer budget

<laugh> Why would the spud clowns be so angry that Liverpool won a trophy, they must be a bunch of bitter trophyless twats or it might be the epic collapse and humiliation against the worst Arsenal team in the last 20 years or it might be that saggy chops will turn his back on them for England sending them back to their mid table spot that they have been in for most of their history or it might be that Gareth diving monkey boy Bale and Modric will be off in the summer to a big club.

Are you sure about that? I'd get your facts right before you continue spouting bollocks.

'After an 18-month investigation, the dossier of top Belgian judge Marina Coppieters was finally published. It concluded that blame should not rest solely with the English fans, but instead should be shared by the police and football authorities. Several top officials were incriminated by some of the dossier’s findings, including police captain Johan Mahieu, who had been in charge of security on 29 May 1985 and was now charged with involuntary manslaughter.'

Easy to find the truth if you want to look for it. You must be a Sun reader.
