Was reading something from a reporter that when he got a taxi in athens and it came to €40 the driver turned round asked him did he want a hand written receipt for €50, so that driver didn't have to declare tax from the official receipt and the reporter could claim €50 from his employer <doh> and they wonder why their ****ed - you get carbombed for opening a cornershop there from the guy who owns the local Tescos!

do you think it'll get them booted out of the euro? i know there's now worry about spain and portugal defaulting on loans and the next two that get mentioned after that are ireland and italy. i dont really know the pros and cons of booting them out but it'd save these nations surely. greece would end up defaulting on its debts, being unable to borrow and become a banking pariah for god knows how long.

serves them right though, their yogurt is rotten.

greece is a very special case, it's debt is 120% of it's GDP, Spain is only like 50% but has a huge defeceit and unemployement problem. Italy's is like ****ing 110% and you rarely even hear about it, because their out of recession and are too big to fail.

I'm turning more conservative the older I get - and I vowed it would never happen to me.

I like Europe, I just liked Europe more when it cost 50p for a pint of beer. And now I'm sending a chunk of money to cover my house in Malta every few months I'd quite like to send less <ok>

I wonder, if there were enough independent conservative socialists voted in and could make a majority, could they form a government?

The PM could be the 'biggest **** without looking like a ****'

Until they're all sacked of course <laugh>
