It was on the news this morning that pensioners were going to get roughly a £1,900 pound rise next year, which is great. Why can they not give us the heating allowance now to get through the winter and then deduct it of the rise? Everyone happy.
Don't know where you got that from. 4% I heard, which is less than £450. By the time you add up the lost winter fuel allowance and an increase in council tax there's nowt left to cover inflation on everything else.
Not next year that is the possible increase over the next 5years. So it means that the pension is cut in real terms
