I don’t think Roger was stating anything personally but the metaphor he shared is a very clumsy one, one that like many others is copied across and shared from other sources. I don’t know Roger other than via his posts on here so and I don’t know his politics so my comments are not aimed personally. As you say everyone is quite happy to get on with their lives. This one post just was a bit far for me but others will have a different opinion and of course are entitled to do so. Can we just leave it here? I don’t want to take the thread off course, it gives me many a chuckle. This is a great forum and that’s due to the people on here.
Good to hear that marra. We don't need to hear about them but... there is a proportion who want everyone to know and see that they are.
I'm sure that when Roger posted that it was purely because he (and others) thought of it as just a bit of humour, with no malice intended, despite what some might think Please let this be the last post about it
Massive thread this which I haven't followed from the start. Have we done books and author names? Used to love these as a bairn... The Haunted House by Hugo First Piles in the desert by Mustafa Cacka Etc etc
Somebody once came up to me in Sunderland and said. 'Excuse me, do you know where Blandford Street is ?' I said. 'No, sorry . . . . I've got no idea.' He said, 'Well you go up there, turn left and it's the third street on the right.'
