Always felt a bit sorry for Poortvliet. Ok so he was pretty naff, but a lot of the reasons we were so poor were out of his control. He must have been gutted when he lost the job to his no.2!

Was anyone at the reading 1-2 saints game back in november 2008? We were incredible that day

Somebody who was really brilliant at Football Manager games, As they are used to acheiving success in Fantasy Worlds.

I seem to remember we have a poster who has particular strengths in this field

LOL! I find the latest version of that game to much like hard work I understand they have to make them even more realistic every year for the die hardships but I used to prefer the simple buying and selling and sorting out the simple tactics!

Hear Hear... I got one in about 2001, tried again in about 2005 gave up at about 2008, it was just too damn complicated, I prefer the earlier versions, still sometimes get them out and have a go, usually get sacked after 2 seasons!

I am stuck playing championship manager 2007-08 least you can click the club benefactor button and get your assistant to select tactics I just buy and sell players and pick the team!! That's about as deep as I like to get into it!

The manager who deals best with budgets is clearly David Moyes! But if you could get all the players for a set amount clearly Alex Ferguson is the best manager in the world so it would have to be him, as much as a tosser as he is.
