But this is what the issue was, the FA did nothing for the Don, which is what the booing was for.

Didn't Revie die in the summer though? (I.e. no game to hold minutes silences at) I know no FA official attended his Funeral but thats nothing to get a lot of Leeds fans pissed off enough to do something as disgusting as booing a minutes silence.

You don't boo during a minutes silence no matter who it is. Voice your opinions after otherwise you just end up being hated.

Like I said, if you were holding a minutes silence for Gary Speed or the Istanbul tragedy and away fans booed then you'd go ballistic. Leeds fans think the world revolves around them and that is why they are hated and for no other reason.

That hardly screams of being respectful to the F.A in the first place does it? Respect is a two-way street and by that I can say that he hadn't earnt it.

Andy king is indeed the biggest nob head ever to post on any footy forum ....before the season even kicked off the nob was telling everyone that LcFc had bought the title and where certain to walk away with the league , he said Sven was miles better then Nigel Pearson , that he was pleased to see the back of NP , though now he claims NP is the greatest manager ever.. Every single time he makes a post he ends up looking dumber and dumber. IF I was a Leicester city fan I would want him banned off the Leicester forums . Is there any site you haven't made yourself look a twat on AKCJ ?

Ps...the nob also said Nigel Pearson has got Hull City playing hoof ball as that's NP's style .. Now he says NP has got LcFc playing slick passing football because that's NP's style...there's no escape AKCJ... Your famous on not606 for talking out of your arse

Would depend upon the validity of your argument. Since 'spouting ****' suggests it would be a bad argument, I imagine you'd get shot down. This isn't the Man U board either, is it?

He died in May and should therefore have had a minutes' silence at the first game of the season, if you believe like the FA apparently do that everyone should have to remember other teams' managers.

Sometimes you have to do something unpopular to prove a point.

If the minutes' silence were foisted upon other fans for whom those people's deaths had no relevance, I wouldn't be that fussed how they reacted. That's their issue, as the Revie/Busby one was ours.

The FA were planning to oust him in a pretty disrespectful way and he left before the had the chance to. It's covered in several books about his life. He did nothing to earn disrespect from the FA and certainly should have been graced with their presence at his funeral and honoured with a minutes' silence if Busby got one and they want to apply standards consistently.

FosseFilberto, I have no problem in saying Matt Busby was one of the greats and a football legend. All I have a problem with is the FA's inconsistent and prejudiced stance towards Don Revie and Leeds and I maintain that I'm proud that Leeds fans fought our corner on that day to show we're not inferior.

Nice tactic mentioning this totally out of context BTW Crown Jewels. You got slaughtered in the argument before and this was a great diversion tactic. <laugh>

    Leeds-18

The context now explained does make a difference - would still have preferred it if the Leeds fans had managed to convey their anger in a different way .. but at least I can now understand the rationale.
