13 years ago we were in administration and on the verge of going pop. 7 years ago we were starting the season outside the top 2 divisions for the first time in the clubs history. We are in one of the best positions potentially in my 30 years of supporting Leicester City, the best owners I've seen and ones that put their money where their mouth is, we own our ground, training ground and have no debts, talk of extending the stadium to 40,000 seats. Yet some are still complaining - take a look down the M69 at our neighbours and then complain? Nigel Pearson has gone, get over it, yes he was good for us, Cambiasso was good for us but nobody is bigger than the club, if NP turns up next season I'll applaud him but my support stays with LCFC not an ex manager.
7 ****ing years ago...... **** time flies. But yeah my thoughts as well. We just need to make sure we donĀ“t build it up & then watch it tumble down like a fair few clubs have. "Keep buying, keep building. UTF..... Oh & bring back white shorts".
I actually remember that 7 years ago quite fondly, it was when I first started going to games regularly. But yeah, incredible how far we've come since I started supporting, albeit with a few blips on the way!
Well said mate. Some people need to get a reality check as to how far we have come. We are an extremely well run outfit with excellent owners. Our youth set up is first class, we have some very talented first team players and most of all we are a Premiership club. Cannot WAIT for the season to start. Exciting times to be a Leicester City fan.
Some just need any reason to find fault and have a moan. Again, I'm really excited for next Saturday and the start of another roller coaster ride. Sit back and enjoy.
Too true Miami. Maybe some fans are a bit like those lazy journo's who make up rumours just so that if one of them turns out to be true they can later claim to be ITK. Just sayin'. I don't know about 'sit back and enjoy though' - more like sit forward and bite fingernails - that's the Leicester way!
