So have been requested to attend the selection process in the New Year. If selected this will be the second time I have been an angry man. The last time was over 20 years ago.

The trial is going to be at Aberdeen High Court so it's probably going to be a tasty one.

Anyone on here done jury duty?

Done it twice - once at my local court and once at the Old Bailey

Never had one and don't intend to.

I'm more familiar to being in the dock to be honest.

Aye, but as you know you're not allowed to talk about it.

Anyway, it was an attempted murder trial in Wester Hailes in which the bloke was found guilty and sentenced to eight years in Saughton.

The Old Bailey. Very swish Dan.

One of the guys at work said to me just tell them you're a racist and a fascist. Tickled me that one.

If I do get selected I'll have to tone it down a bit especially if the accused is a gollywog.

First one was a murder of a 4 year old kid by his mum and stepdad. Second one was someone breaking an opponent's nose in a 5 a side football match. They don't come more different than that!

If nothing else I'll get some free lunches out of it.

Who said there is no such thing as a free lunch anyway?

I think if they did a check on this site not ****in one of us would be selected.

    Jesus, that's absolutely sickening.

Some people take their football too seriously.

I witnessed a murder outside my maw's house. I got summoned to court as a witness and I never bothered turning up as I had a holiday in Benidorm. They didn't even come looking for me to see why I didn't turn up - it didn't seem like a very efficient or professional process to be honest.

I would have thought the old bailey was busy enough without having cases about broken noses at 5 a sides

<applause>. At the end of that case, having heard testimonies form all 10 players, 4 subs and the referee the Judge said "all I can say is thank God it wasn't a rugby union match"
