I think Xabi Alonso will settle down in no time as Liverpool's manager , he was able to do as a player.
Was listening to Dominic King talk about Xabi Alonso's management at Leverkusen on 5live. The more I hear about him, the more I want this guy managing Liverpool.
Klopp said he realised he needed to leave in November when they sat down to discuss summer transfers Lijnders, Krawietz and Matos all announce they're leaving too... Director of Football at the end of January... Something's got to have gone off hasn't it?
Like I said earlier, I think there might be something personal with Klopp that he's not prepared to discuss. Then, if he told the owners in November, they might have someone lined up already by now who will want to bring in their own staff, so the others follow suit. I'm not claiming that that's the case, but it seems a reasonable possibility.
We probably won't find out either. We've been superb at keeping things in-house under Klopp, he's definitely a 'confidentiality conscious' type of chap
Jurgen could have left after last season, but didn't and has revived the team regardless of how we fare come season finish. Perhaps he felt obligated to turn it around and that has paid a huge burden on him. Or maybe he wants to leave a hero rather than stay too long and see himself become a villain. Club legend and a great man.
Not seriously disputing that - just speculating on why the others are all leaving. Some seem to think there's been a falling-out over something, I was offering a more positive hypothesis.
Why would the Caicedo issue change it? Why didn't he go off then - or show signs of dissatisfaction at least?
Had a bottle of Guv'nor, Spanish red from Majestic. Superb for the price, £46 a case of 6 or £9 a bottle. Really heavy red, bit like Tommy Lawrence ( one for the older members of the forum there)
Apparently Klopp has said he will not manage a team, including country teams, for a year and will never manage another team in the Prem.
