He will write his name in gold if he can do quadruple before he leaves. Goodluck to him.

Just wanted to say, even though he never managed my club (and I wished he did), Klopp is one of my favourite ever managers.

Not just because of his supreme tactical aptitude and coaching skills, but as a human being, he has always exhibited the qualities of a truly compassionate, understanding and caring individual.

I remember watching a video a few years back on how he rebuilt Liverpool and it said that Klopp made sure staff and players weren’t segregated when they were eating (which they apparently were previously), and that he made it his personal mission to ensure he knew the name of every staff member at the club - whether that be analysts, kitchen staff, cleaners etc. This epitomises what a truly wonderful, humble human being he is.

And what a connection he formed with the fans too. You can’t break a bond like that. It’s no wonder he would never consider managing another Premier League club in the future.

As for what he’s achieved and the way he’s transformed Liverpool, I mean, it speaks for itself, doesn’t it? From dwindling in obscurity when he took over from Rodgers in 2015 to winning absolutely every trophy possible by 2024. What an absolute dream his tenure has been.

I hope history is kind to what he’s done with Liverpool, even in the years he didn’t win anything.

He’s had to compete against financially doped clubs, with unlimited pools of resources, and was still able to go toe-to-toe with them and get over the line on several occasions. Two 97/99 point seasons B2B and a stretch of games where you got 103 points out of 105. I don’t think we’ll see anything like this again from a non-financially doped club.

The biggest compliment I can give him is that he has been able to leave on his own terms and how he wants. Managers like Wenger, Mourinho and Ancelotti didn’t even get that privilege.

Klopp has etched his name in Liverpool folklore and will be synonymous with Liverpool. He’s surely up there with Paisley and Shankley as one of your greatest ever managers.

Obviously I am hoping we can pull off a mini-miracle to win the league, but if we can’t/don’t, I hope Liverpool do. Would be a perfect way to end his tenure.

I wish him all the best in whatever he does in the future. He is a Premier League Great.

In football not many managers leave through the front door with their heads held high. Most go via the back door!
As Liverpool fans, you can now give him a send off he deserves.

Exactly this. This is what has made him great in my eyes - not just his coaching skills, but his overall humanity.
It seems quite rare in a world that thrives on competitiveness and ruthlessness.

I also think that the sadness and exasperated vibes he's been giving off this season started with that press conference over Caicedo. I'll swear that Klopp didn't want him for that money, but must have been amazed that the club endorsed that sale but never pursued the player he'd actually said he wanted - Bellingham. true, he may well have gone to Real anyway, but we pulled out of the race at £80m, and then said we'd spend £30m more on Caicedo? I believe he was definitely interested in Lavia, but unless he says otherwise, I just don't think Klopp was on board with the Caicedo panic buy.

And anyway, Enrique has been on saying something I fully agree with - he just looks like a man tired of forever fighting with our owners. He's never been a huge spender, and wasn't at Dortmund. But his net spend and results in 8 1/2 years has just been phenomenal. FSG will find that out now - as will we, I fear.

He's the best Liverpool manager I have had the pleasure to experience. With S & P both being before my time there's not even a contest of best manager in my lifetime (I was alive when Paisley was managing the club, but not old enough to know what was going on).

I would be surprised if I ever get to witness a manager AS good as Klopp again/

So.... Next Manager Watch. These are the ones I've seen mentioned:

    Xabi Alonso
Currently "Evens" for next manager. I'd be hapi giving Xabi a try.

    Roberto de Zerbi
Could do worse. He did well with Brighton, clearly a good manager.

    Luis Enrique
    Meh... do not want

    Steven Gerrard
Was a good captain, has not proven a great manager yet. Maybe one day, but he hasn't proven to be good enough yet.

    Pep Ljinders
The Ideal replacement but not going to happen if he's already said to be leaving.

    Julian Nagelsmann
    I don't really know.

    Ange Postecoglou
    No Thank You!

    Diego Simeone
Not my first choice, could do worse, but could do better.

    Zinedine Zidane
I personally don't like Zidane so hope it's not him.

I'd only be open minded about Xabi and De Zerbi from that list.

de Zerbi is a good shout. I'd love Alonso, BUT - he's off to Real too as soon as they call, just as he did as a player.

Also, I'm beginning to wonder if the failed sale of the club (and it was, let's not kid ourselves otherwise) has had a part in Klopp's thinking?

Simeone would be the antithesis of everything Klopp's done. Nagelsmann wouldn't connect either. Alonso and de Zerbi would be the only two real candidates on that list. Can't see Ange coming, and Zidane just wouldn't feel right.

Because he's too old to play for Liverpool now, I haven't mentioned Derek Asamoah in a long time... but it might be worth pointing out he's not too old to be Liverpool's next manager.

Xabi Alonso - too early to tell but wouldn't exactly be disappointed either

    Roberto de Zerbi - no

    Luis Enrique - no

    Steven Gerrard - absolutely not!

Pep Ljinders - thought it had been confirmed that he's leaving too?

    Julian Nagelsmann - <confused>

Ange Postecoglou - I wrote like him but it's not happening

Diego Simeone - is rather chew my own nuts off!!!!

    Zinedine Zidane - no

    Derek - yes!

I just watched Klopp’s press conference. You can see he’s emotional but remains very classy. I’ve seen plenty of managers come and go in my 56 years, including extremely successful ones…….but right now, I’m struggling to imagine a Liverpool without Klopp.

Undoubtedly Jurgen Klopp has made his mark, his successor will have a difficult job to supercede his achievements especially if he wins the league this year.

Couldn’t disagree more but you don’t like fsg. But klopp has never once given any indication that he doesn’t like/get on with/ or disagree with the way the club is run.

Would he like more money? Probably who woukdnt. But those are the conditions he signed up to working with and he’s done wonders with it.

I don’t think he’s ever had any fights with the owners unless there inside knowledge that you are aware of that hasn’t been released to the public?

I look at Klopp at when he joined and at him now. It may be 9 years but he looks like he’s aged double that. He’s 56 and I’m nearly 58 but he looks far older than me. It could just be all the stress and strains of being at the top has exhausted him
