Its true you could argue that arsenal would be taking a big risk bringing in someone like Klopp who is pretty inexperinced.

However you could also argue that Klopp has managed to acheive exactly what wenger has been attempting and failing to do in recent years.

    - He built a young team on a shoestring budget that plays expansive attacking football and ...wins trophies.

The guy signed young unknown players from all over Europe and turned them into Champions.

    * having said that I do still think Wenger is the right man for Arsenal.

Firstly, winning the title two years running is something Wenger never managed either. (but I would'nt rule out Dortmund they can still do it)

As has already been pointed out Wenger was'nt a particularly big name when we signed him either. (regardless of his connection to Dein)

Its unfair to compare them because Klopp is 17 years younger than Wenger.

Consider that Klopp manages to do today what Wenger did in 1997-2000 even though the transfer market is FAR more saturated. (signing potentially top class young players for cheap before their talents have been widely discovered)
He's a very astute manager and may go on to have a very successful career.

Apparently they dominated the game against Marseille but all Marseilles goals came from ridiculous defensive mistakes.

Apparently Arsene wants his successor to be that bloke whose name i can't remember played under wenger in japan an now manages the team ans has arsenes attacking style etc

  6. I think you mean Dragan Stojkovic who seems in a way to have followed in Arsene's footsteps, first playing under him and then managing the same Japanese team with recent success.

Well Arsene had said he would like a change by 2014 when he is 65 so we'll see. Who knows which names will be in the hat by then
