Agree with Red robin thought overall it was a poor display. I thought Leeds were poor and there for the taking.
Why do we not learn how to take set pieces properly , one in the first half edge of box was pure comedy.
Pack needs to learn how to defend properly time after time fails to get goal side and does not track the runner.
Williams and Fredericks did not have the best of games. Joe Bryan and Luke Ayling best players by far.
On to boro and hopefully a better performance over 90mins not 5.

Agree the one player that has stood head and shoulders above the rest in the two home games.

100% agree the same old same old mistakes, whoever is behind the weaker squad wants shooting.

I know stats can distort matters but City had 63.9% possession last night and 18 attemprs on goal with 11 on target. Leeds 7 with 3 on target..To put things in a bit of perspective in the Bury 3 Fleetwood 4 game Tuesday night there were a total of14 attempts on goal from both sides. Saturday City had 16 attempts on goal, not so much possesion but we did have 10 men. If we are creating that many chances and having that much possession I cant say we were poor. I dont think we are that far away we need to be more clinical and stop the silly and naive mistakes.and hopefully with some more decent signings this will happen.

The lack of signings has pissed me off, but I'm happy with a point, especially with the manner we got that point. It would've been very easy to fall over and take the loss, and even though Leeds have been poor so far I reckon this point will be the catalyst for success in this division.

One thing we definitely need is a proven goalscorer. Wilbraham is a solid forward at League 1, but I reckon he might struggle a bit at this level. Kodjia definitely needs time to bed in, so we absolutely need a forward, and I can see why we're now willing to overspend for a solid forward.

Recent reports say that the deal for Gray is £6m, with £3m in extras if we achieve promotion. £6m is still far too much for a player that didn't even break 20+ goals last season, but I reckon £6m is a small price to pay if he lands enough goals to keep us in the division. We won't make any money back on him, but purely for goals this season and as a signal of intent it could be a great deal.

Against Brentford we were excellent until the sending off

Last night we were the better side before the penalty. We had a dodgy 30 minutes after that (Cotts said 2 lots of 5 but I think longer). We kept at it and kept trying to play a bit of football.

The 2 late goals were massive to keep confidence etc

Agree that we need to be a bit more street-wise at this level, but I genuinely think we are not too far away - it's not as if we have been played off the park in either game.

Agreed - although you don't want to say that we've just been unlucky, it's far too simplistic just to say 'we're c**p' on the basis of results alone. The best team doesn't always win - that's football, but the teams that create the more chances are more likely to win more often and that will show itself over the season as a whole. If we're still at the bottom come winter, then we can really be concerned.

We do seem a bit too susceptible to counter-attacks, which is a particular risk when you have attacking full-backs. Tweaks are needed to improve the defensive mentality of the team (and that doesn't just mean the defence, or saying 'such-and-such needs replacing'), hopefully without blunting our attack too much. That's fans mentality for you - much less than winning every week = crisis.

So streaming out of the stadium with 16 minutes left of the game is helpful is it? How do you think the players feel about that! Its no wonder we can't attract players to the club..

I am also old enough to have seen it all before and I know that games are never over until the final whistle goes, I was one of the very few that stayed sat at the Mansfield away game to the bitter end when we won 5-4, many fans missed a great moment in our history that day and had travelled a very long way to do so.

PS Cidered, I have a couple of tickets for the rugby at the gate tomorrow in the Heineken hospitality lounge if you would like them, (they're free!) I know you like the rugby, so you're welcome if you want them? PM me for details..

And me, never seen or ever will see another game like it.
My memory get's worse, but was it Beadle mixing it with their players when they streamed off ?

Sorry RR but I with others, and to say we didn't deserve the 2 goals is idiotic.... Leeds didn't deserve theirs! Like Brentford I left the game disappointed but also feeling optimistic, you can tell we're almost there and results will go our way soon. I think you were one of a few predicting a top 8 finish, this is why you're so upset. We weren't ever going to finish that high and I can see you calling for Cotts head before we're eating our Christmas dinner....

    Be
Brett I don't blame SC one bit,I blame the people further up the food chain.
This squad is weaker than last term.
Can you tell me what the reason behind that is.
Personally thinking SC is a very unsettled and angry manager at present.
I think he summed it up with something along the lines of politics within the club.
I still think if the squad does not improve he will move on,shame if it does after his excellent work last year.
I really don't have a clue why the board did not improve during the close season.
To me very very poor decision indeed.
Yesterday was like a morgue at the gate, the reason the feel good factor is sinking out of us faster than the titanic sinking.

24 hours later, and you are still talking bollocks. How the **** do you know how he's feeling? The board sanctioned two bids that triples our previous record.

Told you yesterday, anymore and Banksy will be round your house!!

As Shiny says we can all see your threads coming soon, one I can predict will be I told you he was rubbish etc.
