'Yeah thats what I said..' Other than 'our dithering Board made matters worse'. 'It just seems to take a little longer for some of you to catch up..' 'so called fans ROD who haven't had a single positive word to say for the club for as long as I can remember yet have the gall to then blame the fans who actually tried to show some positive support for the club as a whole.. Still some people only live to moan and criticise and some have such big egos they just cant see a bigger picture' 'Yeah thats what I said..'
The reason, we are where we are, is our board is clueless regarding football matters and lots of our fans are happy to go along with their decisions. When it was there for all to see that Del was taking us nowhere, they took the decision not to act and prolong the enevitable (mid November). So we had the fans shouting "back the manager, back your team" blah blah. But you wouldn't back a drunk pilot to fly your plane would you? Nothing to do with "live to moan or just criticise", it's just common bloody sense.
I'm proud the vast majority on here supported our board, manager and players and will continue to do so! What did you do.. Spat your dummy out because you didn't get the manager you wanted, you even stopped going and refused to offer your support till the manager was removed. Thats not what I call a supporter. Supporters, support. and thats just plain simple bloody common sense..
I stopped going down, which was my way to show I was not happy with the situation, my way of protesting, which worked as Del was pushed. but I still supported my club as my season ticket was paid at the beginning of the season. I won't clap and cheer a lost cause...it's called being constructive.....good job some of us are...
Nothing constructive I can see there. The thousands of others who turned up and cheered the team regardless of what they thought of the managers, they are the positive ones, Your approach added nothing and helped no one...
We were losing.......and that's positive & constructive is it? Had everyone took your approach, Del would still be here and we would have been already relegated.
Lots of comments on here as to who to blame and when this happened etc etc, but I strongly believe that we have been a dysfunctional organisation for far too many years, and if you combime disorganisation with pure stupidity then success can never be an option. I applaud the supporters who have laid their hard earned money down to watch rubbish week after week and then come back for more. They should never be slagged off by anyone because the hard reality is that they are, and hopefully will continue to be, the heart and soul of Bristol City. The people who run the organisation and the players that they hired to supposedly reward the supporters for their commitment by providing a higher standard of football have failed us all. That is the cold fact of life I'm afraid and nothing will convince me of anything else.
I bet your glad the board noticed your empty seat, otherwise they would of never pushed Del out! You must be the reason why we are ****e away, the players look round and can't see you so they don't want to play.
The board must have saw Onefors empty seat when we were beating Cardiff and Palace at home, and thought, "my god. Onefor has deserted us and he was the most knowledgeable of all city fans, this Delboy must truly be ****!" "but what about all the other fans, they seem happy" "yeah but they don't know anything about football..! this is serious, We have to get Onefor back somehow" "Yeah You're right. Lets just make sure we get the timing right" "Good plan" " But what about Redprintt?" "Oh **** him. He just moans whatever"....
"When we were beating Palace and Cardiff"...ha ha, that was back in August. wow, those were the days eh! What a fantastic job, thank you for the memories Del! 2 games unbeaten! I bet you got excited about getting to the playoffs! By the way, my seat wasn't empty then, it was after the 4-0 thrashing by Leicester.
No but that's what happens when you get relegated. That's why it was so important to stay in the Championship....If you remember, I was shouting out before Christmas that a change was needed otherwise we will be relegated and will be a disaster.
No, its not down to the happy clappers - your argument is flawed because if SoD was that good, we would have had achieved more than 1 point from 21 away from home since he took over even the much maligned McInnes managed nearly 1 point per game in his 13 away games. It is down to the players I'm afraid, Del made some decent additions to the squad but team against Derby still included 4 of the old league One team + one addition who most on here seem to regard as a total waste of space. So, that's half a team, a bit like fighting someone with one hand tied behind your back...
Come on Prem, you can't say my argument is flawed, SOD's only been in the job a couple of months and transformed our home form from the shambles we had under Del. I'm not saying we have great players to work with, but I really do believe, we wouldn't be in the position we find ourselves in, had we had a decent manager from the start of the season. I did keep saying to you, we were aiming for relegation under Del and he should go, but you insisted that he was going nowhere and we would NOT get relegated.
