Hope we dont regret not spending a bit of dough and competing and fall behind QPR as thats a VERY good signing! Hopefully we make a signing soon (i.e. Davies) as getting worried with our inactivity in the market and getting players in late gives themless time to get to know our style. Also not convinced by whittaker at all....

Definitely shouldn't be worried about a 'lack of transfer activity' in mid July. We still have a month and half of the transfer window to go. We've already made two signings anyway. As long as we get the majority of our transfer targets before the end of the transfer window we should be fine.

I'm quietly confident that we don't need to spend money that we can't afford and our team spirit will be vital as it has been for the last 3 seasons.

Fair comment re Hoilett, but there's NO WAY we woould be willing to pay his extortionate wage demands - yes, he's good, but NOT that good. Why are you not impressed by Whittaker - have you actually seen him play?? I remember similar things being said about Pilkington this time last year and IMO, he was one of our star players (apart from the time when there was a rumour that Liverpool were interested!!) of last season.
 
if qpr sign hoilett, i can honestly say that is the first player they have signed in the last two years that has made me think 'i wouldn't have minded him at city'. just shows how much overpaid crap they've bought really!
 
Hope Im wrong but whenever I ve seen him play in a very poor league remember he hasnt really impressed but I trust the football people at Norwich probably know more than me so hope he proves me wrong!

Supers - I agree with that, but I don't think he's worth the £40K or whatever a week he's demanding. Time will tell.

Have a look mate. Young defensive midfielder, English, 22 IIRC, plays for Brighton. Been linked with AV, Sunderland, Newcastle and ourselves I believe.
 
Anyway this is the first time I have expressed any concern this summer but....Southampton signing Jay Rod and Clyne, Swans going for Michu and Davies (Bolton) and QPR completing the signing of Hoilett. I am beginning to get a bit impatient for the first time....

I'm aware there is 6 weeks remaining but players need time to bed in and the closer you get to the season kicking off (3 weeks for the Championship!) the more likely the club will want a higher fee as we are disrupting their plans.
