What Philip Beard said some time ago that we're in for a lot of players seem to be true. I believe we've been chasing both Moses, Hoilett and Jarvis, but with intention on signing only one. If it's Hoilett then that is great news as he's the most talented of the three. His contract is out but we still have to pay a fee set by the tribunal panel. There is a substantial resale value on Hoilett if he can keep developing. I rate him in the £15 mill bracket, well if Downing and Henderson is worth it then he could easily be worth it to.

I agree with this. I've always rated Buz and he certainly helped us out at times last year.
Hoilett would be a fantastic addition but I share other's concern that we seem to be ignoring the defence, especially at CB.

Who says/knows if this is being ignored? We're ten days into the transfer window, still 50 days to go ffs! If Hughes/Rigg feels we need more cover/quality in defence then they will address it and bring in the necessary reinforcements. I have no doubt in my mind all is being taken care of as we speak/debate.

This is very true. Ki Sung-Yueng is another one. I'm sure the rumours are true and that we have been tracking him, but doesn't necessarily mean we'll be buying him.
Out of all of the rumours, Hoilett would be top of my list. The Blackburn game at Loftus Road last season was pretty dire but Hoilett stood out as being easily the best player on the pitch.

Samba would be a great signing, could the best one of the summer. With no disrespect Ferdinand & Hill (thought they were great at the end if last season) they need a better CB partner. Then use one of them as cover now Gabs & one size have gone with Connery probably on his way at some point
Agree. If Samba signs, the press conference should be televised live worldwide. Certainly more exciting than any of our signings so far.
