Yes I'd thought that would be a good signing, good competition for Davis and someone with a tonne or PL experience. Easily the best player of the ME era
Facts are pretty thin on the ground. This thread is going to be quiet for the next few weeks at least I reckon.
Window opens on 1st June, so expect all the rumour in full swing after then. Also, with the Euros this year, a lot of premiership clubs will probably wait til then (or just after to start there business)
Was shocked by the England squad announcement. Where are Davis, Clarke, Woolfy, Chappers and Hirst?
Joking aside. In regards to LB, Shaw has not played this season, Chilwell is out of favour and the cover would appear to be Trippier. I wonder how close Leif was to Southgate’s thoughts. I know he was “only” in the championship but lead the assist charts and I don’t think he would be out of place - certainly don’t think he’s worse than other options

In terms of an XI I think we could say we have:
CB Burgess
LB Davis
MF Morsy
RW Burns
which says we should sign six or seven players better than
GK Hladky
RB Clarke
CB Woolfy
CM Luongo
CAM Chaplin
LM Broadhead
ST Hirst
plus cover for Davis and Burns.
The most crucial being RB, CB, CAM and ST.

Ball was always surplus to requirements. I'd be sorting out the first XI this window. Defenders and a number 10 surely the priority. Unless we are going to sign a midfielder that would keep Luongo out of the XI. I really hope we don't go and sign a dozen average players.
Given the result of the last two Seasons I'm going to continue to trust the process!
