Nice one commachio, joined up in '82 and it was a toss up whether we'd go straight from training to bolster the Jock Guards or the Welsh in the end it was over before we passed out.
14th June 1977 I joined the army, the Royal Artillery. Little did I know what would happen exactly 5 years later. There was no requirement for anti tank missiles out there, so I didn't go. For me, that was one of the Para's and Marines finest hours, yomping for miles with up to 80lbs of kit each and then having fo fight when they got to their destination. Respect guys, respect!
