invariably the "immediate house and associated buildings" are the bulk of this £1,000,000 so 100 acres would realise around £1,250,000 stock live or material, .... eg a young heifer of about 400 -500kgs would cost about £900? so a dairy herd of say 80 milkers would produce around 60 of these each year ! to replace older cows being sold off!!!! Tractors and machinery say 2 tractors? ... cost new likely around £500,000 so would nt take much to value a 100 acre dairy farm at £3,000,000 lock stock and barrel..............

The owner of [McVties ] Pladis, warned: “Going forward, it’s becoming harder to understand what the case for investment is ... to make a difference in the growth rate of the economy.”

Speaking about the national insurance hike, co-founder of Cobra Beer Lord Bilimoria told Times Radio: “If they can hear, this is not just me. This is a unanimous voice of business saying you have not listened to us. This is not going to generate growth.
“This is going to damage business. Please listen to us. Please work with us. And I’m up for them to do that. It’s not too late. It’s not too late.”

Ms Reeves’s defiant riposte to the business world, came after the head of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) claimed that firms were caught “off guard” by the hike in national insurance contributions.
Rain Newton-Smith, chief executive of the CBI, said the measures announced last month have made it harder for businesses to “take a chance” on hiring new people.

Speaking after Ms Reeves at the business group’s annual conference, CBI chairman Rupert Soames made it clear he was unconvinced by her words, claiming that businesses were “milked as the cash cow” in Labour’s autumn Budget.

He accused the government of making policies which are “directly in conflict with one another”, calling Labour’s employment rights bill “an adventure playground for lawyers”.
“This week, the Department of Work and Pensions is going to produce a paper setting out actions to help get a meaningful number of the 9 million [jobless people] back into work.
“But at the same time, we have a Budget which makes employing people, particularly the young, part-time and low-paid much more expensive.
“And we have an employment rights bill which makes employing people much more risky and an adventure playground for lawyers. These policies are directly in conflict with each other.”
He continued: “It’s hardly surprising that business people are scratching their heads and asking themselves: ‘What really is the government trying to achieve, and how do these policies hang together?”’

what is it with this pretentious .gov all this self denial against people who have ten x more experience at fiscal planning than they have [ may 10 x is a bit low probably about 30 x ++

So, as the clamour to oust the worst Prime Minister in history gets louder those hoping Sir Keir Starmer will do the decent thing and walk away need to think again.
This robotic dud of a PM, who doesn’t have an ounce of political nous, will cling to power until his fingernails bleed.
That’s despite a petition calling for a rerun of the election - which in a handful of days and just five months after the July 4 vote, has already been signed by more than two and a half million people.
And the numbers are growing by the hour. And make no mistake, this petition is hugely significant not because it can force another election - because it can’t - but because it’s a warning that a populist rebellion against the Establishment is coming

People are sick to the back teeth of sky-high illegal immigration, diversity and equality drives, useless public services, and the collapse of law and order where hardened criminals get off with no punishment.
They’re sick of billions being squandered on foreign aid and the suicidal race to Net Zero while pensioners here freeze.

Those who rashly voted Labour at the last election and said, “Well, they can’t be worse than the Tories”, have discovered that they damn well can be because this Government is peopled by a bunch of hopeless, hapless inexperienced career politicians who’ve never had a proper job and couldn’t run you know what in a brewery let alone a country.

So, now people have got big-time buyer’s remorse with this Government and in record time. Starmer’s approval ratings have plummeted 49 per cent since the election, and he’s now at minus 38 per cent.
You’d have thought it might have made them understand the depths of people’s anger and discontent – not just of the Tories who didn’t vote for them but of the lifelong Labour supporters who did.
But, Downing Street’s reaction to this petition was to tell us:
“The PM is focused on the issues that matter to the British People." is he in his own vacuum, estranged from the real world and reality or what !

This is the bloke who spends every waking moment telling us that he was elected by a stonking majority when the fact is he got fewer votes than Corbyn did when he lost the election back in 2019.!!!

    However
what’s clear is that Starmer isn’t getting what this petition is trying to tell him - that not only do people want him gone but they are no longer prepared to tolerate a rotten system that favours wokeism, lawlessness and that sees white people being persecuted simply for being white.
They’re sick of having their intelligence insulted by being told illegal immigration is good for this country when they know to their cost it’s not.

Everything, but everything this Government has done is dead wrong. Its growth-bashing budget has upset businesses, many of which are now threatening to leave the UK. It’s upset farmers, pensioners, the Bank of England, the Bond markets, the City and millions of ordinary people who now feel Iike they’re living in a police state where they can be slung in jail for what they think and say.

Starmers answer to the riots back in the Summer after the Southport atrocity was to call it ‘far right thuggery’ and lock people up double quick for years at a time
Some of it may have indeed been pure thuggery BUT the point that he and this blinkered, incompetent government failed to understand, like so much else, was based on people’s anger at all the bad things behind it such as immigration, rubbish policing and a biased justice system
They once more failed to spot the Elephant in the room because they have no interest in the average person

An interesting article, especially the part showing Nordic countries are the happiest, despite being more heavily taxed, but with essentially a more community based approach, rather than a more individualistic one.

I really don’t get it. Why do Scandinavians and many other European nationals readily accept that high tax revenues spent wisely help to make nations more equal, cohesive and content? Why are the UK and US so very tax-phobic? Big questions, no easy answers.
But I can say this with some certainty – resenting or finding ways to dodge taxes, as so many middle, upper classes and Royals do, is making Great Britain a mean and a miserable place. In the latest World Happiness Survey, once again, the highly taxed Nordic nations – Finland, Denmark, Iceland and Sweden – came top. The UK and US were way down at 20 and 23 respectively.
Hatred of taxes is embedded in our culture.

when I sold pensions/insurance /etc [ licenced ] one of the "flash conferences.. training days" covered EUROPEANS ...and different approach's they have. Reference to Germany pensions... was they have 3 main targets in life! ... a holiday ... a pension ... and a job [ where they can work hard to earn enough money to fund everything. Germans look to the future and what will happen when they stop work so the first thing each week that comes out of their salary is X% for a pension [ talking 1980's here} most of them rent! and second thing holiday fund!
not to sure about other countries as the German story was the one that stuck!

SCANDINAVIAN COUNTRIES drink beer and cost the same to make aproximately as here but a pint can cost about 2 or 3 times that in UK. 10 years ago a 70pt barrel cost about £105 [ used to buy one to take to Scotland ] so a pint then in pub was about £3.20p! DO SCANDINAVIAN COUNTRIES tax beer/lager at very high rates? thus changing taxation application thought process [ is like a higher VAT on a lot more things, buyer pays so income tax is less? ]

note. rule of thumb from 2019 scandinavian pricesar 1.5x to 2.75x price of average UK price and usually sold as 400ml as opposed to 474ml [ uk pint ]

Ed " loser " Milliband, is a desperate man at best his latest fib [ well .gov inc: ] is GBE will generate energy and green jobs for public workers so what does he do

He EMPLOYS German workers on the 4000 acre solar panel site in Norfolk! As well as this he is going to destroy acres of farmland and decimate tourism of the area.

Reform UK MP Richard Tice has attacked the decision to use German firm RWE to deliver the plan, as well as the decision to partially use farmland.
"It's doubly mad," he said. "No solar farms should be built on farmland. Labour lied to us they said there would be green British jobs but we learn it [sic] will be German".
His criticism was shared by George Freeman, the MP for Mid Norfolk, the constituency where the farm would be built.

note you have 20 or so departments all part of a team that should work together as they are .gov .. but NO each one says bo**ik* to the rest I am going to do my bit at whatever cost.... and

He and the whole green energy thing is one big lie.
Bills are not coming down, and customers are still paying a subsidy which no one wanted or asked for

Work and Pensions cabinet minister Liz Kendall, the woman who axed the winter fuel payments for pensioners, lives more than comfortably in a £4million London mansion in very trendy, very expensive Notting Hill.
And to add insult to injury, Liz, who resides there with her husband - an ex-Etonian and an investment banker, is allowed to claim costs for the second property that she rents in her Leicester West constituency.

And one of those costs is, you guessed it, for energy. Between April 2023 and July this year, she has claimed £3,810, her largest month's bill being £352, which is £52 above the pensioners winter fuel allowance, which she has scrapped, forcing 100,000 people into poverty.
That is according to her own department's forecast, and 4000 could die as a result, according to her own party's report, which was carried out when the Conservatives were in power.
Liz earns £91,000 for her MP salary and £67,000 as a minister, which gives her a salary of £158,000. Not bad.
Why on earth should the taxpayer foot the bill for her energy consumption? The utter hypocrisy of this is staggering.

"Let's remind ourselves " [ 2 tiers new pet phrase to avoid answering a Q ] of what Sir Keir Starmer said: "I will be honest with you, there is a budget coming in October and it's going to be painful. [Actually the only thing he said that want a LIE! ]
"We have no other choice given the situation that we're in. Those with the broadest shoulders should bear the heavier burden."
Well, 2 tier, it's time to lead by example, Sir 2 Teir, Let's start with you lot.!!!!!

another few domino's tipping over, this time aimed at " I made a MASSIVE tax free profit selling my council house" and unthoughtout housing plans ....

any one understand the thinking behind this comment?.............

    ...........
The Labour government want the targets for new homes to be based on the current number of houses in an area and how affordable those properties are, rather than the number of people expected to be living there in years to come.

................. so build a load of houses, say 600 to level out the number of houses and "grade of houses" get people living in them that do not exactly have a job in the immediate area say 10+ plus miles to commute? AND then in say 4 or 5 years time need houses for people taking up jobs or needing a job where the houses now occupied were built 4 or 5 years previously. on top of that mostly rural areas and stipulated must be affordable, what is affordable?
the points pointed out is that already many areas do not have the support amenities needed to build more than a hand full of houses ... say 30 -50!
So in some areas, Labour plans have a council requiring to build in excess of 400 homes [ up to 1300+ ] but a lack of sewage/ schools / adequate roads are a serious problem. In the past a couple decades ago a new housing complex of 300 + houses would have a pub, built a few shops and maybe a doctors surgery ...

a couple decades ago a lot of time and energy was spent on nature corridors, urban parkland areas or nature retreats.
As you leave whitchurch on Whitchurch lane toward Imperial site opposite what is now the bottle factory complex on the left [ dundry side ] there used to be a couple of "dew" ponds they were home to Great Crested Newts, a very protected species.. I informed Avon wildlife trust [AWT ] that they were clearing further down to put in s new road and had plans to clear whole area .. 4 times I contacted them, even contacted the police to say a crime was going to BE committed. AWT never responded once police didnt want to know and a so called "foreman?" in charge of works had no knowledge of ponds needing to be safe guarded but would make enquiries!
shortly after this maybe a week the whole area 2 ponds and a big swathe was bulldozed..... it would have delayed the building plans etc by over 6 month's ... so a few protected newts were sacrificed ..and no action taken........

Labour by enforcing council's to chew up rural areas show how far they are separated from humanity and non city life

now lets be really critical about this for a starter!!!

NO ONE DISPUTES THE SETTING UP COSTS of circa £900,000,000

the money for the flights to take off already booked was down to Labourn as a loss because they wrote it off ..hours after getting gifted as .gov. The start up fee's can also be attributed to Labour as they abandoned the idea so you cant blame the previous .gov why?........... well lets do some sums, as we know a number of potential crossers up until July 4th has beem put off coming and decided to seel solace in other EU countries so it was a deterrent

lets say a lower figure than some media investigators had found interviewed had given up or would be likely if planes took off at 5% ... there were 1000 sorted and ready to go at July 4th and as the present .GOV figures state FLIGHTS AND ALL OTHER COSTINGS CAME TO circa £900m PAID FOR so how much has cancelling cost for 1000 and how much could have been not paid out if 5% had not arrived?..............

well the 1000 have so far cost us 22 weeks at £700 each per week = circa £15,000,000.. an additional cost on top of the £900,000,000
then there is the 5% of 20,000 who would not have come another £15,000,000 SO seems on paper at just £30,000,000 but no there are factors unknown like the 2000 in this example could be here or that number still be part of the system fot a whole year so £60,000,000 WHATS to say the 5% was even higher say 10% so thats £120,000,000

THAT IS A NEEDLESS £120m on top of the money spent getting those first 1000 to Rwanda

will stop there as there are a few other figures that will make that amount even higher...................

only see it properly if I pay but it seems the latest "report" is in conflict state with present differing departments again!
build new prisons that is happening.......... increase police force to solve crime and to deter crime tories has it /had it/it is underway ... but population explosion and increased crime from "alien sources" along with prison sentences for [ in a lot of cases freedom of speech / action ] upset the apple cart!
one report I read a few weks ago was that although x number of illegals have been removed forcibly or voluntarily over 3000 that have done crimes and in prison still havent been deported some of these in the community now doing more crime! of the 20,000 since July 4th how many of these are actually not bona fide?
