BREAKING: Nigel Farage said Reform would reduce annual net migration to ZERO.
Farage said the nation was suffering because of a “population explosion” and “we cannot go on as we are” because people’s quality of life was being “diminished”.
Do you agree with Nigel? Does Reform win your vote?

There is a point there, but in 2024 I wouldn't share it at work.

    INTERESTING FIGURES FROM SCOTLAND .......

Scotland's demographic challenges were highlighted in the recently published census figures from 2022, showing a 2.7% increase in population, less than half the 6.3% growth rate in England and Wales.
The number aged 65 and over rose 22.5%, faster than the rest of Britain.
The number classified as "minority ethnic", including Irish and Polish, was up to 12.9% of the total, from 5% in 2005.
Between 2011 and 2022, there was a drop of 90,400 in the number of Scots-born people, while the number born in the rest of the UK was up 49,200 and those born overseas were up 185,600.

My last visit up there before GE announced was SNP WAS FAR FROM FLAVOUR OF THE MONTH ..... and yes voters were hard to find

Let’s take a closer look at the Lib Dem pledge to offer free personal care to older or disabled people at home.
It would cost £2.7bn a year by 2028-29 and would be fully funded by reversing tax cuts given to big banks, the party claims.

get the illegals out of the hotels and back to France and problem solved with a profit to boot!

The Conservatives are vowing to cap the number of migrant visas, reduce the number each year for five years, and to give MPs a vote on annual limits.
The cap would limit the number of work or family visas but would exempt temporary work routes, such as seasonal agricultural workers.
The party is not saying exactly how many visas should be allowed each year, but for the first time it would give MPs a chance for an annual vote.

REALLY! what happens if the number goes over? .. say after 10 months quota full = refuse any more? or opposite looking to be a lot less = relax rules let in more? and does it carry over?

head to head tonight.. as per Labour not saying a lot just KS hoping he has the right figures to fit the bill

Starmer is finally asked how he is feeling ahead of the first head-to-head TV debate tonight.
"Very good!" Starmer says, adding he is looking forward to the opportunity to speak directly to voters and to make his argument tonight.
"At the end of the day, it is that clear choice and I think voters will see that tonight. More of the same, we've had 14 years of this and after 14 years nothing is better than when the Tories started."

At first glance this seems a great manifesto.

However, it’s unrealistic. Take the first item - earn up to £20k tax free - that would cost the country £billions. It sounds nice but it would hit the treasury so hard (and spook the international markets) the pound would collapse.
On the same page he’s saying to INCREASE defence spending.

so it’s a ‘tax less and spends more’ manifesto.

Absolute fantasy - if that was achievable the Tories would have already done it.

Still, I bet loads will buy into it.

They, and Labour since the late 90s should have been doing this as a matter of course rather than watch our population grow unsustainably by 10 million or more with economic migrants.

A lot of the strain on housing and our services, and the civil unrest we have currently would have been avoided if they'd just done the right thing.

The Tories are acting like Capt Hindsight, but it's far too late with all these ridiculous promises.

Labour will face the same issue as they won't get any tougher on it than the Tories.

The Tories have promised to bring immigration levels down every election since 2010, and have failed every time. They’ve had 14 years and have failed every year. Why would anyone believe them now? As for Farage & Reform anyone can right a list of “wants”, It means absolutely nothing. We’d all like jam today, unfortunately it’s not that simple.

    Agreed
That's why Reform will take a percentage of their votes away from them and potentially leave them with around 60 seats if current polls are to be believed.
But Labour are also guilty of encouraging mass immigration under Blair and co and I don't believe they will address it when they are in government either.
I believe it is the single biggest issue on people's minds at the moment, and yet neither party seem to want to tackle it head on and win the publics confidence.

    LeeHurst comic on. X

Now Nigel Farage is back as leader of Reform, I am 100% supporting them at this General Election.
Anyone saying they don’t have anyone to vote for other than Labour or Tory, well now you have.
If you’re a Tory saying a vote for Reform lets Labour in, here’s the news, your party let Labour in. You have already lost the election so why are you clinging to your sinking ship? There is simply no way back for you. You have a PM you rejected in a vote who was crowned by your MPs who ignored your wishes. Rishi Sunak has broken every single promise since he took power. He will break every single promise he is making now as he desperately tries to cling on.
If you want to break the uni party of Labour and Tory, make a stand and vote for Reform. Do not waste your vote by spoiling your ballot paper. You only get counted as a numpty who could not manage to keep a cross inside a square.
I’ve already had abuse on here today simply by saying I was hoping Farage would return as leader. I’ve already been called racist, because that line worked so well for them for the Brexit referendum.
I expect more abuse for this post. Guess what? I simply don’t care. I want to help dismantle the tired old Labour Tory party that have both failed continuously throughout my entire life to deliver and have led us to the disastrous state we now find ourselves in.
The abuse is all they have. They are already scared.

I see them as a right wing SDP( remember them?), have now kinda morfed into the Lib Dem’s. Whether they get enough votes to take over from the Tories … I doubt.

short sighted response there BCRW.... by making the the first thresh old at £20k the next threshold can be moved up at a higher rate to mean those on £20k + would pay the same amount of tax as they would have if they had paid £ x at so many £'s pa at lower rate then so many £'s at next rate ... etc etc etc [ you need to acknowledge that a 40 hour week on minimum rate would mean you dont pay tax [ income tax ]
an average shelf stacker at a supermarket gets around £ 14 plus an hour so would pay tax on about £4k ...

plan is already increase to defence spending so would make no difference

Didn’t bother, waste of time imo, we know what they’re both going to say, then their teams try to spin it their way, yawn. . Personally I’d rather we just cut to the election now.
