Really reached the true countdown now ...3 days and pencils out!

Where do I put my mark? ... we have only had a labour leaflet ..Saturday .. and a tory leaflet about 2 weeks ago through the door ... and certainly no canvassers and our street is devoid of the usual stickers saying vote for .. in fact most of Stockwood is quite void of them.............

nothing from reform either! ...my voting station is just 50 metres away!

    xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Labour's Jonathan Ashworth also called into Breakfast, and when asked about the IFS predicting Labour would require a spending increase of 3.6% above inflation to meet its manifesto pledges, he said closing the non-dom tax loophole would fund the gap .... this is where the danger is and the smoke and mirrors and avoiding the truth ... the non dom tax loophole is never going to bring in £bn's and we are talking 100's of billions, its not just 1 or 2bn that are needed it is 100 -200bn or more...........

you have to realise this tax is on "profit" / earnings if they put it into solid items like gold /silver/ property etc then only when it gets sold does it attract tax??? !

Home Secretary James Cleverly spoke to the BBC this morning, telling the Today programme that "voting for Reform is more likely to get you a Labour MP". On Breakfast, Cleverly defended the government's record on inflation, employment levels and economic growth, adding Labour "will distort the political system" that is the big problem ... Reform will allow at least 30% of the elected labour MP's an opportunity they would not have had .. a pity they hadnt got their heads together to sort out at least 30 or 40 seats that TORIES MIGHT HAVE STRUGGLED TO WIN and had a reform as opposed to a Tory standing and vice versa ..I have only spoken to about a dozen voting Reform and they say they would have voted tory [ always had/ will ] but voting Reform now as "like the tory party" .. when said that means neither tory or reform might win and you have gifted a labour vote ... answer was so, might not be....~!

    2 DAYS TO GO .....
AND tension growing as more cracks appear in the various manifesto's and blame being apportioned to .GOV OVER POSTAL CHAOS [ deliveries ] especially from Scotland for postal votes!

Starmer takes a question on trade and says there needs to be a "clear framework".
He speaks about energy in particular and references his policy for Great British Energy, which he says will provide "lower bills" as well as more independence and security.

He references to the war in Ukraine and the impact it has had on bills. .... OH .. finally acknowledges the UKR war had influence on the inflation spike .. [ oil goes up = increase in all dependencies on oil = higher domestic bills fuel etc = higher transport costs = higher price of goods = labour backed strikes to increase wages = higher inflation = need to increase bank rate [ one of the controls /control mechanism to slow/stop/reduce inflation ] = out of "any" .gov hands to a degree.
But Tory .gov had to bail out the public with some £47bn energy subsides ....

flip flop flip flop flip flop .............

If you asked the bloke what he wanted for tea he’d say spaghetti bolognese, then change his mind to wanting roast beef <laugh><laugh>

bit droll the headline in the media .... " millions head to the polls" with a potential 40,000,000 available likely to be anything less ....the day of reckoning!!!!!!

well I reckon Reform is the history maker it will take a few million Tory votes ! and just a few from Labour ... dare I say it I hope most defecting tory voters will vote lib dems and also defecting labour voters the same
I also hope labour only get around <300 mp's which leaves around an opposition of around 330 to 340 [ allowing non seat takers ]

Almost time to decide if and to whom I cast my X ....

Not much of a queue but job done
No expectation other than Labour winning south Bristol as they always do but I certainly didn’t vote for them !

Not gone yet, will go later after work. Thinking of voting green. Hopefully the present lot of numpties get kicked out. In my lifetime I don’t ever remember such a load of wasters. Regardless of political persuasion most governments in the past have had my respect ( except Maggy obviously), this lot deserve a kicking.

Reform propose to raise the tax threshold to £20k, yet INCREASE spending on defence, plus other public services - and presumably pay for more people to patrol the channel and turn the boats around.
    The maths doesn’t add up.
