Yes he’ll clean up with what used to be shy Tories I’m sure. They obviously aren’t identical to each other considering one have absolutely gutted the country for their own benefit for over a decade.

Sunak was **** at that too. **** is going around pretending he wasn’t. Just did what he saw other countries doing but later then the absolute nonsense of Eat Out to Help Out. Again because the Tories shifted the adults out in 2019 and were a car crash a bloke with little experience of anything ended up with probably the most important job of all, reporting into a lazy fat alcoholic grifter in charge.

Some interesting comments on BBC local news down in Yeovil... both had opportunities [ Tory/Lib dem ] to make good cases for their themselves and parties .. but both came over a tad weak...........

REALLY....... Sir Keir Starmer dismissed "noise" from Farage and said the election is a "straight choice" between Labour and the Tories .HOPEFULLY IT IS NOT ... also the Yeovil candidate stated that the lib dems will be the main opposition to Labour they have to gain almost 220 seats for that!

Hypocrosy .. Labour states home owners will pay more than £4800 because of un funded spending of £12bn ... Hang on THEY stated that the £2400 Labour would TAX THEM ................
HYPOCROSY..WHY? well labour highlighted the flaws that tory calculations were based on and the fiscal oversight people stated tories should have said "over the next 5 years" it is possible ... today Labour offered up a cost of £4800 [ to do "if the tories needed to borrow to pay for an item instead of raising money without taxing or less public funding ] without mentioning it was over the 5 year term, most homeowners dont have a mortgage and a great many of them are now on fixed term loans so it wont apply for a large chunk of the next .gov's tenancy.
note it assumes if they got in and borrowed £x? general interest rates on mortgages would rise by more than .5%

welcome back Boris!..... it seems he is on the election trail giving help and assistance to various candidates and apparently going down very well!
When he went a great number of ordinary folk were dissapointed and this could back fire on KS as he spent most of his time trying to get rid of Boris instead of actually "being the leader of the opposition" His [ KS] actions at the time earned him the title of " flip flip" and captain Hindsight! because he lost sight of what opposition do????

    Latest inflation figures....

Inflation has fallen steadily since October 2022, when Russia's invasion of Ukraine caused it to peak at 11.1% as food and fuel prices soared.
THE BOE likely to hold interest rates at 5.25% till August [ inflation monthly = usually a reaction quarterly ]

Glass houses ... stones .... hands up anyone that has not done either of the first 2 above ...........blimey are they all glued to your sides! except Boris and I!!!!!!

The bloke is popular with some people for reasons I don't personally understand.
He has shown repeatedly that he has no morals, scruples, common sense, judgement or understanding of certain situations and seemed to be led by his (current) Wife in terms of the net zero nonsense and lies.
And those are his good points <laugh>
I thought he had the makings of a good PM before he actually took over, but he blew his reputation just like Blair did.

The SNP has launched its manifesto in Edinburgh, with the spotlight on "major investment" in the NHS, independence and BrexitParty
leader John Swinney says if the SNP wins a majority of Scottish seats on 4 July it would trigger independence talks, adding the party can build a "fairer country" and "more prosperous economy" through independence

THE POINT I find most interesting about all the "manifesto's" is the all the party's below the top 2 state when we / if we .. get in power! but most wont best they hope for is 3rd place.

    PMQ's .GOV ... Opposition 5 Q's and 3rd party 2 Q's the rest is at speakers "whim"

they all mirror the main party manifesto .GOV and try to take down that and the oppositions [ all party's ] manifesto's.

Understanding is down to the individuals ability / make up of what they deem to be negative or positive. Often it is because people dont / wont/ cant put themselves in the same pigeon hole! The UK [ British ] have always had the "upper stiff lip tag!" And History [ UK / British ] is full of lesser individuals that have succeeded, in one way or another when the timing was needed.

Your last comment shows indicates a bitterness? toward the whole thing that transgressed. I was disappointed that he had done what he admitted to [and he could have admitted to less ] even more when he left, but times move on. At my final point of education the headmaster and staff had a brilliant way of picking the head boy! the school pupils would in the first week back muse over who it might be and the concensus always resulted in one of the 2 at top of pile was assistant head the other just a prefect.... the winner was the most unlikely candidate, but amazingly over a three year period all 3 different tiurned out to be winners!

Agree he did blow it but nothing like Blair, Bliar had no mixed misunderstandings or was in an environment where it was on our doorstep in our houses killing us off by the day and had the liklihood of sinking GREAT BRITAIN.
The rules were ever changing and even the most savvy of the population had problems keeping up. If the rest of the country was a yardstick to my area RULES were blatantly broken daily. On a recent "covid anniversary walk" to where I spent over 2000 hours walking, and getting a concentrated wealth of the nature so close to my home, I passed at least 5 houses that frequently had garden party's or sat out front with next door neighbours .. beer and snacks!

time heals they say unless bitterness is the ruler! I dont forgive Boris one iota, but then I look at the bigger picture and what is best be it squeaky clean or a bit tarnished..
note ... example ... Putrid surrounds himself with "family / criminal mates" to do his bidding... heaven forbid he changes and puts people in charge that know what they doing!

The drop in May's inflation figure shows just how well we have weathered the storm of strikes/ high wage demands and levelling out the energy crisis

Interest rates are expected to be held at 5.25% for the seventh time in a row by the Bank of England on Thursday.
Despite inflation hitting the central bank's target level for the first time in three years, most economists have predicted rates, currently at a 16-year high, will not be cut.
They believe the Bank will wait to see if inflation stays at 2% in the coming months, with a first rate cut in the autumn now looking more likely than the summer.

after the GE there will be a 2/3 month period where the inflation rate has been moving along below the surface at the present .GOV 's doing!
It would be nice to see the BOE ACTUALLY REDUCE THE INTEREST RATE BY .25% as a celebration of the achievement to have reached the 2% [ 2% was the aim but they would be happy to see it troll along at 2.5%!?

I think the BoE and it's head of, are part of the problem. They should have been gently raising interest rates to a more moderate level (2-3%) long before Liz and Kwasi came along.

it is frightening to think a majority of 200 they could almost be regarded as a dictatorship!

    interest rates
While not a done deal, this language shows a clear signal to the markets and the public that after the Bank completes its new forecasts for the economy,
a cut is now the most likely outcome at its next rates meeting in August. ..................so present .GOV goes out on getting interest rates to drop, smacks of the Bliar years inherited the first income from the oil fields which was squandered and so was our gold.........
