Town have pulled off a coup in arranging a friendly with the mighty Man. United on July 17th at Greenhous :tongue: Just my luck that we'll be on holiday in South France <steam>

A 'bit part' XI will probably do this United team a disservice as anyone who's anyone will be touring America with the first team but I would've still enjoyed this game <doh> Oh well

The article also states that typically, all isn't golden as the muppets at the Shropshrie FA seem determined to arrange ANOTHER pointless cup final when the last just over a month ago was attended by 401, saw Nathan Elder abused by some Telford goons and basically a game bereft of any quality or watchability. But, it also says GT is "busy having meetings with potential signings in a bid to strengthen his squad" Pretty good batch of news in my opinion :emoticon-0103-cool:
 
excellent trio of friendlies, pity we cannot play the wobblers to see how prepared both teams are for august. a squad bonding session on fairbourne sands would be useful and a run up cader idris may tax gt and rowland, who by then may be the new compromise head of fifa. just hope he can get bottles of port in zurich
i understand shmichael and sir bobby are in the line up for the man utd x1, and eric cantona has expressed an interest, though may be happier chasing seagulls from his fishing boat off barmouth
 
Shrewsbury will probably play their own youth team as there is the prospect of a much more important game on the 19th July. The Shropshire Senior Cup Final, no less, provided we beat the New Saints on the 11th. What can be more important than the World's oldest cup competition?
 
what town win something with that ruddy awful badge, do me a favour. if i was in the man utd x1 i would ask for a request stop at yorton for you know where, prior to using our excellent facilities at the greenhous meadow.
