indeed we wid, then we sacked the manager who won it so all in all i think if we judge that to be right.... and backing rodgers must mean to some extent we do... would indicate at some level they do beleive that they want to win bigger things and get to the top. Thats some evidence right there for them but I am not so sure its ENOUGH evidence if you get my drift. The mistakes made on the other hand can balance it out too. I just think FSG need to prove themselves.... there not enough on either side of the arguement to make me sit in either camp. As for the rumoured sale price stuff.... i have to take it with a pinch of salt unitl something firm comes along. .. I agrre with toe about the stadium. They took 2 years looking then dropped stanley park so either you believe in an expansion of anfield or you don't. I am unsure. frnakly them dropping it saves them a lot but equally it protects our heritage and an expansion could be possible if the council get their house in order. There's too many ifs and buts to really back them and too many to call them G&H like. One can but hope that in a reasonable period of time the evidence builds up to prve thier mettle and a long and fruitful relationship develops. Same for rodgers. hope... but not surity is where we are at.
I agree that RA has just shovelled oil money at it and wasted 70-80% of it but he's got his trophies and his hobby and i suppose from his perspective thats fine. We've also spend moeny and wasted it haven;t we in fairness. That said....... yes we are supposed to be run as a business but s a busines if we see that our equipment isn't up to it we'd go improve it eithe rout of head office cash or loans... G&H did it out of loans. I'd fully back them not doing that. what i'd LIKE is them to give LFC some of their own cash to spend. 50-100million. that amount "spent right" woudl make a huge difference. heres the thing: 1 we bid 3mil for dempsey on august 31. 2 we really ought to have known fulham we not going to sell to us after complaining to the fa. 3. it was an insult bid. 4. we hadn't any more cash but needed two forwards. So adding all that up i'd love to know if ayre actually asked for 20mil to buy a player or not... or did we do the asking to get allen and borini? I think we need that extra 20mil in january not 10-15mil scraped out of the clubs own reserves and what we sell. Abramovich has done more damage in his time to his own side but has spent his way out of it. LFC are on thier 3rd manager under FSG so i hope they have made the right call but i can't say right now. if they buy well in january we could pick up nicely as a strong team is there.
It's not as if the owners don't have cash to spend. They were willing to spend up to £15m for Sturridge because he is a player who fits the criteria.
