Actually make that second biggest fan. Mighty comes from Italy just to watch the Leeds and spends every waking moment keeping up with all things white on the o/s and this forum.
So we finished mid table last season, and the consensus is well do the same this year. How many more years of this are we meant to be satisfied with. Gfh won't keep fans happy indefinitely with the three year plan stuff
Doesn't matter if we finish mid table, 21st, or 3rd and lose out in the playoffs, all the time we're down here amongst the dead men we're not progressing at all.
Very likely but not having the ambition to challenge for promotion isn't acceptable either. It's not a big job running a club better than bates
The difference is that now we can expect that we won't sell the core players in the team we're building. We've finished mid table the last few seasons because we've had to essentially start from scratch every season. Manager doesn't get results with piss poor budget and having his best players sold = sacked, new manager has a different style and wants his own players... cycle continues. bates should never have been allowed anywhere near any position of power.
Make no mistake, if Bates was in charge I can guarantee Byram and McCormack would not now be Leeds players and I don't think Wootton would be here either. Yes we weren't involved in yesterday's antics, but this is the best window we have had, probably since the transfer window era started.
I have to agree, but I wish BM had told us that nowt was happening & not to bother following all sorts of information sources all day. Unnecessary frenzy. You'd think I'd know better at my age, right enough.
SkySports go into a ****ing frenzy about a few transfers, that Jim White or whatever the **** they call him is a right excitable ****, and he come out with some right ****e.
I think he was chasing someone yesterday, it could be that the club he was from did not get in a replacement. It might be that we could not move on a couple to free some wages. Face facts the 15 million wage bill along with 2 million in annual rent Bates left us with is a good reason to be cautious. Especially as the season ticket money was already spent. We will only get stronger, we will soon sell the grounds naming rights and use the money to help re-buy Elland Road with help from the council, that will free up the wages for another star signing in January. The great players coming through the Academy will get a chance & we will still sign one more winger on a Bosman shortly! Keep the faith, its getting better all the time!!!
He's a right twat, I'm sure he jizzed in his pants when Fellaini sped off from Everton on his way to scum
