QPR transfer news and rumours: Hoops to battle Reading, Derby and Brighton for Spanish forward
Man at the top: QPR manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink
QPR and three other Championship clubs are keeping tabs on Real Valladolid forward Juan Villar.
Spanish sources have indicated the Hoops , Reading, Derby and Brighton have all sent scouts to watch Villar in recent weeks.
The 27-year-old has emerged as one of the top talents in Segunda Liga after weighing in with 13 goals and five assists this season.
Villar can play in a central role or on the flanks and could be seen as a replacement for theoutgoing Junior Hoilett this summer.
Besiktas and Borussia Monchengladbach are in the running to land Hoilett as he enters the final few months of his lucrative Rangers contract.
Villar would reportedly be available for around £1million and would not ask for wages anywhere near the level Hoilett was collecting every week.
Reading are also considering the player as Hal Robson-Kanu is expected to follow a similar path to Hoilett as his contract runs down.
Meanwhile, QPR have announced a new multi-year kit partnership deal with DRYWORLD after cutting ties with Nike.
Heading out the door: Junior Hoilett
