QPR transfer news and rumours: Hoops to battle Reading, Derby and Brighton for Spanish forward 14:51, 21 APR 2016 UPDATED 14:52, 21 APR 2016 BY MATT LEWIS Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is looking to put his stamp on the squad at Loftus Road this summer and is being linked with a raid on Real Valladolid please log in to view this image Man at the top: QPR manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink QPR and three other Championship clubs are keeping tabs on Real Valladolid forward Juan Villar. Spanish sources have indicated the Hoops , Reading, Derby and Brighton have all sent scouts to watch Villar in recent weeks. The 27-year-old has emerged as one of the top talents in Segunda Liga after weighing in with 13 goals and five assists this season. Villar can play in a central role or on the flanks and could be seen as a replacement for theoutgoing Junior Hoilett this summer. Besiktas and Borussia Monchengladbach are in the running to land Hoilett as he enters the final few months of his lucrative Rangers contract. Villar would reportedly be available for around £1million and would not ask for wages anywhere near the level Hoilett was collecting every week. Reading are also considering the player as Hal Robson-Kanu is expected to follow a similar path to Hoilett as his contract runs down. Meanwhile, QPR have announced a new multi-year kit partnership deal with DRYWORLD after cutting ties with Nike. please log in to view this image Heading out the door: Junior Hoilett http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/spor...ews/qpr-transfer-news-rumours-hoops-11221527? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juan_Villar_Vázquez
Spanish second division player, scores about 1 in three games, not a kid, but a few years in him. Way too early for this kind of thing.
See how far we have come down in the gossip bit. Now every player linked with us is also linked with Reading and Derby. What a load of paper rubbish.
Probably not. He'll probably go to Brighton, do ok and then get shipped off to Leicester and end up with a Premier League winners medal. However if he came to us he wouldn't get a game. Ever seen the film 'Sliding Doors?'
In other news, our new kit deal sounds like it's with incontinence pad specialists. Ideal if you have to drink yourself into oblivion to watch us play and then run the risk of wetting yourself while passed out.
Sadly, I do not think we are a very attractive prospect. players were invited previously to join 'the project' with promise of success in the future. That is not going to wash this time around. Any half decent player would take Brighton over us to play in the PL even if only for a year. Having said that, we are as good, or better, a prospect than Reading. Perhaps Derby too if they blow this year's chance.
A great film QPR999. Filmed when I was working in Chiltern Steet - just off Baker Street / Marylebone. A great 'what if' provoking plot line.
Yes I know it well sku. It's where Manchester Square fire station used to be which I had worked at quite a few times. Now closed sadly. I've also met Gwyneth, here's a picture of me and her taken in her front room about 10 years ago. please log in to view this image
Nice one Nines! Just a young fella back then. Were you her personal fire prevention officer? I too enjoyed that rather thought provoking film.
