I agree with Carmine and all.

He wasn't good for us, but was better than the likes of Ghilas & Hesselink etc. So there's no wonder why we stuck with him.

I don't know too many Hull City players past or present but I do remember Altidore as my husband called him 'Atishoo' Altidore. During one Hull City match he said City are bringing on Atishoo Altidore and I asked why 'Atishoo'? He said sit there for a few minutes and watch. Subsequently he received the ball tried to beat his marker and fell down without any apparent reason. Then the penny dropped!

Fair enough but we did go down with him in the team, no goals from him might have something to do with that

Altidore or Rhodes would be my first choices, I thought Altidore was good and would have improved further if we'd have kept him

I dont know what the defending in the netherlands is like but the man cant score for the US national team. He hasnt scored in open play since June of 2011. It is all they talk about when the national team games are going on. Or perhaps it is a lack of decent midfield players to give him service that is the issue but from what I have seen he still looks as bad as he did with us.

I thought for a young lad he was very strong and may go well with a quick goalscorer along side him

Germany B team vs a USA team raring to prove themselves against big opposition..

I was wondering why I was getting decent odds on Germany. **** ****s.

If Cahill scores the first goal for England tonight all will be forgotten.

This is the worst german side I have ever seen. The goalie scored on himself. Altidore does look a lot better than his last few games with the national team but this german side is playing like **** who knows if it is a change.

You are absolutely determined to put Altidore down at every opportunity aren't you. Have you actually watched the game today...he has dominated the German defense and scored a brilliant goal. Did you ever actually see him play for Hull City. i think not. How long have you followed the team. I've supported them since 1948 and saw him play several times for the Tigers. He was head and shoulders above any other 19 year old who pulled on the black and amber. You are clueless!

USA are tearing Germany B a new one...

That Germany keeper, Ter Stegen, has been linked as the replacement for Valdes at Barcelona as well...

he's up against a back 4 made up of a Hamburg, Schalke and Dortmund player plus Mertersacker. not too shabby for a B-team defence.
