Joshua has amazing power and timing and looks to work good angles. His defence is a bit static at the moment tho. If he gets in front of someone more mobile and who isnt scared of his power he would have problems. Right now Haye at his best would dance round him. He's mint but just saying he probably could do with a bit of work on his feet before being great! The division isn't very good at the moment so he will likely keep winning regardless for a bit.

he is far to fast for fury, in a completely different league. I think he is the best boxer we have seen since lewis. hes like lewis but faster,

Fury just isn't in Joshua's league. Fury is a brawler but he won't have been hit with the speed and power that Joshua has.

Have to love the "he hasn't fought anyone yet" British response. He's World Champion. He's getting better and as someone else has said there is room for improvement which, for me, will come with more fights and more experience.

But as of now everyone should take a chill pill and enjoy the best heavyweight we have had for years. He's young, he's fast and he has power. What is there not to enjoy?

I think people are getting a tad carried away to be honest. He is good but he has a lot of holes still as Dillian Whyte showed. If Fury or Wilder rocked him like that, he'd be getting knocked out. I do think he is improving and if he can improve his head movement and use his feet better then he has the tools. His right hand is thunderous. I was really disappointed with Martin. Hadn't seen a lot and I hoped he would have a bit more than he did. He completely froze despite all his chat. Stood very upright, slow and no movement, just a sitting duck. You have to put it on Joshua because if you allow him to hunt you and tee off then there is only one result.

Klitschko, Wilder and Fury would all give him more to think about, as would Haye. I'm not even convinced Fury will beat Wlad, I mean it was a massive off night for Wlad all said and done. He will surely actually try to punch Fury this time, which he only did late on last time (and rocked him). I think AJ knocks out Fury. I think he probably knocks out Haye too who style wise would be tricky for Joshua. Joshua and Wilder are very similar - loads of power, good boxing skills (Wilder has improved and actually taken in some rounds - come through a bad performance), but their footwork and defence are not what they could be. Always the same with guys who have the equaliser, they are happy to rely on their punch. I think it is all careering towards a unification showdown between Wilder and Joshua next May 2017. However Wilder is so game I wouldn't be at all surprised to find that he is the opponent for Joshua in July Hearn was talking about.

To be honest a fully fit Whyte could easily get back in the mix too. However the lad has to start taking it serious and get his condition sorted out. If I was a top trainer/[promoter I'd be looking at him and thinking I could make a useful tool out of him. The lack of professionalism looks likely to dog him though.

I suppose Luis Ortiz is the one everybody is sleeping on. Its just his age (37) he ain't got long to make it count. Cuban pedigree though so he has skills.

Agree. I'd like to see him have a couple of mandatories and then go after the other belts. The trouble is, they'll all avoid him.

Why are people analysing that fight? It wasn't a boxing match, it was a toe to toe personal fight. AJ had no interest in using his boxing skills, he wanted to pummel Whyte and that's exactly what he did.

Analyse his other fights and last night, because he's been punch perfect in every other fight.
Personally I thought he was ready 3-4 fights ago, and this time next year, I expect him to be holding a few belts.

If you analyse his other fights and his style, he isn't difficult to hit. That fight like it or not is an insight into his weaknesses. It shows you can get under his skin too and easily drag him away from being aware of whats coming back. Big punchers will look to exploit it. He hasn't really taken in much stiff opposition to truly analyse him.

I like him but he is over hyped but that is the Sky/Olympic factor etc. He is great for the sport. He could well hold the belts in what is a very weak division lacking depth and frankly, quality. But he has yet to prove he is a different level to the likes of Haye/Wilder/Fury/Ortiz. He might well be though if he learns and tightens up his weak areas which is undoubtedly his poor footwork, head movement and general defence. Attacking wise he has all the shots, hand speed and of course power. His jab needs work as it should be brilliant but is just used for dabbing to set up the right hand. You need someone who can make it awkward for him with a chin/being hard to hit, movement. The issue is how many heavyweights are there who fit the bill??
