According to the Daily Mail Norwich are interested in Everton's Joseph Yobo, do you think this would be a good signing for the club?

i wouldn't say he is too old! always used to rate him but that was a few years ago. he seemed to lose his appetite for the game a bit. i'm 50/50 as to whether it would be a good signing. i would think davies is still the man we are after - hughton has gone on record to say he rates him highly

it's a no-go to yo-bo from us then

One of my favourite ever headlines was from the Sun years ago when Everton manager Howard Kendall was trying to sign either Tony Yeboah or Dean Saunders, can't remember the exact situation but Howard Wilkinson was involved as well and it was something like "IT'S YEBO FOR WILKO IF KENDO GETS A NO-NO FROM DEANO".

Sorry for digressing, this just reminded me of it <ok>

I wouldn't mind him and Curtis Davies! We def need a choice of defenders because we are short on ones I would feel happy to call on. There are a lot of games in a season with cups and league. Yobo might be getting on a bit, but he still has natural pace and has played well at Premiership level for a long time. If we got him on the cheap, Id say, bring him on!

No no, that's a good one

My all-time favourite has to be from the same rag, just before Euro '96 when the England squad got pissed up on the plane the way back from their ill-fated "dentist chair" trip in Asia. Gazza had obviously had a few more than most, chucked a glass of port over a journalist and was greeted with the headline

BOOZA GAZZA THROWZA WOBBLA

Absolute genius that one <ok>

I'd be fairly happy with Yobo, whilst I think we could do a lot better (Davies) I still think Yobo would be a good addition to the squad. He's very consistent, composed and athletic, and unless he's completely lost his pace in his time at Fenerbache I think he could do a job for us and provide decent competition at CB.
