I think Donny signed Tommy Spurr from Wednesday and have a feeling he is a left back.

Didn't Mills play LM mostly for Donny? i think he could be useful, but obviously Adkins doesn't rate him. Either that or he wants to move away to be more than backup, which seems more likely.

Well Mills didn't travel to Switzerland. Last year of his contract, it's clear enough he is moving on.

Good luck to young Fish, hope he impresses and gets regular football if he joins you.

I wonder if it was a case of he was not in Adkins plans or that he just wanted regular football. Either way i wish the lad well and can see him developing into a decent championship player. Did a good job in the JPT final for us when he was called upon.

he's a good player. Did a great job at Wembley; one of our best performers on the day.

Can't see him staying with Harding and Dickson on the left back slot and Reeves coming through. Hope he gets a good deal and good luck to him.

Copy and paste job from Preston's website:

The game against the Cod Army gave Brown the opportunity to look at two trialists, defenders Alex Cooper and Joe Mills who both can play left back, a position the Preston boss has made public he wishes to strengthen.

"The two lads we had out, Alex Cooper who has played most of his trade at Liverpool which is a good pedigree, we know both of them him and Joe Mills can play.

"You go down to Southampton and there is an academy there, they have a great football stadium.

"So we knew that both players could play and not being disrespectful but we will have a look at them at the weekend in the Scotland games to see a little bit more of a defensive test for them."
