Did Roman ask him to bring Chelsea down to mid table? That would have been an odd thing to do!

Equal best defence Custard. Spurs would have had the best defence but they bent over for Newcastle on the last day.

Simple. Because you played defensively as a team for most of the season. Hence you only scored 49 goals. 20 less than us.

In other words defense was the primary objective of the whole team, not just your defense.

Stick to the greens and lay off the white stuff. Lesson learned, lets move on.

Going to be hilarious watching Jose fail again. Unless he gets a gargantuan warchest to spend, he won't be doing much with ManYuu next season.

As a chelsea fan you lot loved him...but chelsea were not an exciting team to watch for non chelsea fans. The only time chelsea played entertaining football was the beginning of 2014/15 ... it was expansive and free flowing but that totally stopped after they lost 5-3 at WHL. After that they went back to playing effective but not attractive football.
His Porto team, RM team and Milan teams were very similar.
The Man Utd fans and press talk about exciting free flowing football ... that has never been something associated with a JM team imo.

Are you suggesting that JM teams are really exciting to watch?

Expansive, free flowing football yeah? <laugh> The **** does that even mean.
Mourinho doesn't have a "style", the styles his teams play are whatever suits them best.
Chelsea owned in 04/05, I certainly wasn't bored then, nor by Real Madrid throughout his tenure, nor by Chelsea last season.
Nor were Porto boring to watch in the Portugese league.
You are speaking as a guy whose sole knowledge of Mourinho, other than the 6 games you watched Chelsea play against Spurs with him in charge, is his Champions League games with Porto where he was defensive by necessity, because he was playing big teams with a small team, and his time at Inter, where they did play boring, because.....newsflash.....Italian football is boring, ALL italian matches are boring.

In Chelsea's first season we were FAR from boring. We scored as many goals as Arsenals "Invincibles" and conceded less, yet they are never labelled "Boring", and if you think Real Madrid, were defensive or boring under JM then go to A&E and get checked for concussion.

Most of the time they are, yes.

There are matches when he plays to not lose, if that's in important European games or to ensure we snatch a 1-0 or a draw away at the likes of Chelsea or City then so be it, as long as we go out to hammer all the other teams. That's just common sense football.

The problem with van Gaal is the football he played was always boring, regardless of who the opposition were. He'd play ****e, pragmatic fearful football even of we were playing Norwich or Bournemouth at home.

If you genuinely think that Chelsea, Porto, Real Madrid and Inter were boring in every match, ever, you need your head read.
