Matth, you are wrong but also right. Chelsea have a great squad of fantastic players but many of them can`t fit into Jose`s system, therefore it is not the worst squad he has ever had but very close to the worst squad he has had for his style of football.
To be fair Meth isn't completely wrong in one way Drogs, because we have good strikers but not great strikers, we have average and inconsistent midfielders, we have a bunch of talented yet inconsistent attackers, annoyingly the only one who is consistent doesn't even get played, our defensive and keeper options are great though apart from LB which is a bit of a weak spot but Azpi has been great there
Hazard Oscar ( Great player but isn't a proper #10 in my eyes yet keeps getting played there ) Schurrle Willian All have fantastic potential but all four are so inconsistent! Eto - Lethal poacher but doesn't do much else Torres - Crap finisher but all round play in terms of space, pace and passing is immense Ba - So inconsistent, good hold up play All 3 have good qualities but also bad, if we could blend all 3 we'd have a quality striker, ironically if you mix all 3 you get Drogba, obviously not in looks Lamps is playing way too many games, kind of like the Giggs situation at United and Lamps never was the best from deep in terms of passing etc Ramires' passing is awful but he's perfect in the rest but we need that passing Mikel defensively is great but he offers nothing going forward So we basically have no midfielder who can offer decent forward passing which is why I'd like Oscar or Luiz there Cole - Way past it, defensively has been awful 75% of the time this season and he offers nothing going forward and full backs are a major part in football these days just look at Clyne and Shaw for Southampton, they're both fantastic and one of the reasons Southampton have been so good so far this season
So it's a good squad but not a great squad, need a midfielder ( Pogba/Modric hopefully ), a top class striker ( Falcao/Martinez/Costa) and a left back (Coentaro) in the summer. Also we don't need all of these and need to make up our mind on who's doing what, attacking positions - De Bruyne, Schurrle, Willian, Mata, Oscar, Hazard and on loan attackers we have Moses, T.Hazard, Piazon, Atsu 10 players and even then Moses is the only natural winger who doesn't constantly come inside. Nearly 10 players for 3 positions not to mention the load of quality youngsters we have in the youth. Good problem but annoying problem at the same time, we keep buying more #10s when we don't need them, we really didn't need to spend £32m on Willian or £20m on Schurrle only one was needed Still expect us to win the league but we'll definitely be much better next season as will City + United
I cannot honestly see the cheating chavs winning the title unless they are constantly given points by the dodgy refs. What happened on Saturday was a disgrace and was not the first time. His teams have been constantly poor. Maureen has been found out. A highly paid expensive group of players not playing for him at the moment. The previous team with mata at the core was stronger. Yet Maureen dismantled his team and whatever is passing for his team is just **** and only cheating to get any point. I would see them just scraping into top 4 at the end...
Pretty much sums up how UTD won the PL last season, so to be fair you have a good point. They may win it after all.
No the Ref's cheated/got paid off, which ended up giving you league on a plate. Anyway Matth - I'm not a serious wum on this board and get on with quite a few of your members, I just like a bit of banter. If you can't recognise that then you're best bet is to take what I say with a pinch of salt
What about the 8 brown envelops found in different petrol station toilets just before your coach was about to pull over. Coincidence???
Early days though and who is consistent at the moment? I don't think we'll win it because we're the best team I'll think we'll purely win it because we're the best of a bad bunch and we have Mourinho as manager, any other manager we'd probably be struggling for top 4. Us and United are definitely best positioned, we've both had very hard games already, we've already got Everton, United, Spurs away out the way and played City at home, you've already got City, Liverpool away out the way and had Liverpool and Arsenal and Us at home. Think we both have weaknesses though, and we'll just manage to win it through grit. Be pretty tight. Quite funny really because City should be pissing this realistically but they're so inconsistent as i knew they would be under Pellegrini, they'll have some good results where they'll smash teams one week and lose the following week, his style just doesn't suit the team, irony is Pellegrini's style suits our players whereas Mourinho's style would suit City players perfectly.
