It'll end in tears. Glorious, angry and confused tears.

The goons probably thought finishing above us two years in a row would mean two titles (not made out of discarded kit kat wrappers). Then they melted. The chavs ge.... Yawn, they're as boring as their club. <ok>

We are only boring cause we have won the league at a canter and killed the excitement. Frankly i dont think joses had to do much. With your boyfriend van gaal im looking forward to more easy trophies for mourinho.

Must be sad for you guys from having one of the greatest managers in the world to the greatest nutter and ego there is in louis. Its easy for us to gloat when we know we have the best manager there is in the game

Greatest in game? His record for a good few years prior to this season suggests something different.

I mean Jose struggled in Spain and was very much broken while someome like Luis Enrique has performed far better in just 1 season. Already eclipsing anything Jose achieved in his time their.

Calling Jose the best is a bit of a stretch. Hes still got a bit to do. Winning is one thing, doing so in style is another. Once hes at a big club we might see what hes really capable of but while he keeps managing these smaller sides, where the only chance of success is dull and boring play, he won't ever be the best.

I didn't call him in the greatest. I called him one of the greatest and his "struggles" still consisted of winning a la liga. Meanwhile you are stuck with the dinosaur that is van gaal who is akin to the Dutch Kenny Daglish (good in the past, not good anymore)

Jose and van Gaal had similar success the last time they both managed clubs. One game seperated their success. One went on to overachieve at a world cup while the other severely underachieved by winning just one title with another Billion pound squad and failing in europe.

At least Jose wont leave (get sacked) and leave you in a state this time though. Right?

lol wow. Clutching at straws. Holland got to a semi final, only boasting the likes of the world class robben and Van Persie. Are we going to start going on about Mourinho going to 4 CL semi finals in a row? thought not.

Then, you are comparing Van Gaals stint 4 years ago at one of the richest clubs in the world in a 1 team league where he managed to win 1 bundesliga to Mourinhos stay at Real who was competing against arguably the best side this generation has ever seen and winning the La Liga once. Nice one.

Guess we'll have to leave it as Mourinho 1 Van Gaal 0 in PL trophies. Lets revisit this next year

I know you are wumming, but comparing LVG with Dalglish is ridiculous. Maybe you are right that his greatest successes are behind him (not really hard to imagine given his age) however he has recently taken an unfancied Dutch team to third in the World Cup and so he is hardly not good any more.

Holland were an awful side and really overachieved. They were genuinely awful in 2012 and crashed out spectacularly if i remeber correctly.

It was a big achievement. Getting to a CL semi with Real Madrid isnt. With Inter it was. Bayern were a shambles before he took over (in bayern terms).

    Anyway, next season.

Obviously comparing Van Gaal to Daglish was a bit tongue in cheek (UIR had no response to it) but Van Gaals best days are behind him. He was phenomenal with Ajax and Barca. Since then he hasn't really done much of note (2 titles in 14 years?). Probably fairly similar to the fat spanish waiter

As for his Dutch success, apart from smashing Spain, he pretty much Mourinho'd his way to the semi final and you could hardly class his unfancied dutch side beating any teams convincingly. He did well to qualify out of his group but who did he have to play in the knockouts? Mexico with a last minute goal, a 0-0 against Costa Rica and then a 0-0 against Argentina. Hardly anything to shout about.

I thought he would be good in all honesty but having seen how stubborn he has been this season and with how rigid he has his plans (minus the occasional switch to long ball to felleini), i'm not really that concerned with him right now.

Yea massive achievement to fluke it past the powerhouses of Mexico, Smash Costa Rica out on penalties and then bore everyone to death and going out on pens to Argentina.

There was no answer to it as it was bollocks <laugh>

He showed a side nobody had seen from him at the world cup. An ability to adapt his style. Hes shown it here too. Not always to positive effect but it bodes well going forward.

Far to many managers have no plan b or c.

What did you expect from van gaal? The title? Its probably why youve been unimpressed after one year. Like everyone was unimpressed with Jose last year (chelsea actually should have won the title so flopped while United were tipped for
5th and have succeeded beyond most neutrals expectations <whistle>)

So facing 3 sides from that part of the world and losing out on penalties. Finishing 3rd overall. Yeh, pretty good.

As i've said your failure with Moyes has you thinking that 170m + a distinctly poor season from all teams bar Chelsea has you thinking that Man U finishing 4th is an overachievement. 4th was a minimum requirement (not even remembering your embarassments in the cup). Chelsea threw the title away last year and finished in the semis of a UCL. Even then Mourinho lost his shine and got mildly criticized for it.

United, one of the biggest clubs in the world who still contain world class players in it, scrape 4th playing dour football and you think its an overachievement. I guess at least you know that your club isnt a big club anymore if you are happy to do an arsenal and win the 4th place trophy.

It all makes sense when you take into account losing 15 players (first team squad not youth) and bring in 6.

When Diego posted the players on the Astro appreciation board, even some United fans were a little shocked by just how many had actually left.
