Good morning all, but have some rather upsetting news.

Italian giants Milan are considering a move for Newcastle United's left back Jose Enrique. :O

I hope a deal never materialises and Jose signs a new deal soon, because he is easily one of my favourite players.

Milan don't have money at the minute though do they?

I doubt they'd have a spare £15m-£20m to blow on Enrique.

I thought they had a young promising LB of their own?

Ask yourself this question, would you leave the Premier League, the best footballing league and the most exciting league in the world and for the team who you love with all of your amigos, to play in Seria A?, the slowest league, the worst league in the world, the most boring football comparable to fats Sams idea of football?, would you want to leave us for inter to play in Seria A?

They dont really have an outstanding LB, and Jose wouldnt go. If we're so stubborn about Carroll then we should be about Enrique, 2 of our best 5 or 6 players.

Jose said he wants to play out his career here and when Sunderland enquired, he said he wouldnt have cared if it was Chelsea. No worries.

That has made me very happy to hear, about Jose not going anywhere.

Players need to respect there contracts, the team and the fans.

Shame other players can't show loyalty, just need to get him penned down to a nice shiny new contract.

The only good thing i can see about Milan is the Champions Leaugue, this could lead him getting capped for Spain. Seeming many International teams overlook are players.

Will be interesting to see what Newcastle players make it in the the England vs Denmark squad. ;)

The lure of Champions League football with Milan would be very appealing to Enrique. Not sure he'd be keen on Italy though, if he left I imagine he'd return to Spain. He was constantly being linked with Barca and Madrid when he was at Villareal, it wouldn't surprise me if they came in for him, he's better than Marcelo and Abidal is past it.

I'd like to think Jose wouldnt go. For me, he's easily been one of the best LB's in the Premiership this season. But, if this story does have some truth in it, you have to wonder whether the lure of Inter would be too much to resist for Jose.

The fact is, no Spanish player is getting into the national team playing outside of Spain (Torres and Reina aside). It's hard enough to get into the squad if you're not playing for the big 3-5 in La Liga. So I don't think moving to Milan would help him (at least in that respect)

20 m on enrique? you're having a giraffe. hes ****eee. worth 12 m tops

A new contract offer for enrique's on its way, I think AP is waiting until after the transfer window to sort out Barton and Jose's contract. Surely an international cap beckons for Jose?
