****ing buzzing for this one tonight. HUUUUGE game. If we win we are pretty much qualified, and would only need a point in the last 2 games to make sure that 3/4 teams would have win both remaining games and overturn a 9-12 GD (if we only got a point in our 2 remaining games) just to catch us, outside of the top 24 currently.

Not bothered about performance tonight, it's all about the result. Win and we are in the top 8 (at worst) after 6 games.

I was just thinking earlier on today, what a funny old game football is. Here's us with a crap manager, a load of sh!t players, in the Champion's League for the second time in 3 years and current holders of the Carabao Cup.
Anyway, let's enjoy tonight's shenanigans and try not to let our current plight spoil the evening.

Come on Jim. Remember what the Doctor said. You are not meant to exert yourself by trying something new.

<doh>

I went to the doctor yesterday actually to get the results of some tests I've been having. He told me I had only a couple of weeks to live. I kicked off because I only went to see him with flu symptoms and demanded a second opinion. He said " I think you're a tw@t as well ".

Howe always, always has to do something against the grain. I thought it'd be Nick out and Gordon up front (cos he scored), but nope - we're putting both left wingers on, so we can guarantee one's going to look lost for 60 mins until Murphy comes on. Then the other LW will be knackered, but we won't have a natural sub.

He's a great manager overall, but I constantly struggle to understand some of his choices.

On the plus side, it's fantastic to see Harrison finally make a step up or be trusted to do so. And only one 'keeper, so that's good.
