It would be a wonderful change to go into a new season full prepared. If we can get the squad sorted out early then we can play people in the pre-season games and develop the playing style. We looked like a bunch of strangers at the start of last season and never really got going. I have to say I'm liking this new set up more and more each day.
Well lads you have had a right old bargain there with Young Jordan. I would imagine we will have a massive sell on clause. He will do you proud, very skilfull and can score from anywhere, have a look at the goal he scored for us at Fulham. Class act if he manages to stay fit as he is a bit fragile.
@sunechograeme ‪#‎safc‬ maybe interested in @jordonmutch but today's Mail claims (again) are wrong. Expect Cardiff to make a statement soon.
We all know that clubs use papers, agents, etc to stir things up. It could just as easily be the player trying to engineer a move.
Sorry chaps and i am definitely no wum. Stories coming from our place are denying any knowledge of this move, have a look at our thread. Borley is one of our directors. I still think you will get him though. I think they may be baulking over the fee. Which does seem a little low.
And that's the transfer market isn't it? We had no idea we were signing Billy Jones or Gomez until it was done. Some players we're being linked with look possibles like this lad. IMO, the papers never print these stories unless there's either a grain of truth or an agent working away. Let's be honest how many extra copies will the Mail sell by floating a story about Mutch?
Probably his agent crafting for a move then. He's definitely to be had. I'd just be very surprised at that price. You'd think Cardiff would be looking at him as someone to build their team around in the championship...but seeing that their owner is about as clueless as ours... who knows.
Where is there definite info on this? I remain sceptical until I see some as it sounds far too simple.
Jordon Mutch is NOT going to Sunderland or anywhere else insists Cardiff City chairman Mehmet Dalman http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jordon-mutch-not-going-sunderland-7203133 Jordon Mutch has a major role to play for Cardiff City next season, insist the Bluebirds board - despite interest from Premier League Sunderland. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to have Mutch, 22, at the heart of his midfield in Cardiff’s bid for a quick return to the Premier League and is prepared to turn down bids from other clubs. Manager Solskjaer has the full backing of the Bluebirds board and chairman Mehmet Dalman said: “We have not received any bids for Jordon and he is in our manager’s plans for next season. “Jordon is a Cardiff City player and that will not change.” Mutch was Cardiff’s top Premier League scorer with seven goals last season and there is little doubt Sunderland manager Gus Poyet is keen on the powerful midfield player. Poyet may yet make an offer for Mutch, but national newspaper reports that City have accepted a £1.5m offer were branded ‘totally wrong’ by Dalman. Sunderland struggled to score goals from midfield in their battle against relegation last season and Poyet is on a recruitment drive to sign young, preferably British players who have Premier League experience and can score goals. Mutch would be an ideal fit, but Solskjaer expects to have the Derby-born former Birmingham player in his squad for the 2014-15 Championship season and it is highly likely he will be offered an extension to his current deal, which has a year to run, before the start of next season. The Bluebirds have four new signings with Adam Le Fondre, Javi Guerra, Guido Burgstaller and Federico Macheda all confirmed, while Craig Bellamy, Tommy Smith and Simon Lappin have left the club. Don Cowie, who is out of contract this summer, has been offered a new deal and is considering that plus interest from other clubs including Blackburn Rovers.
None. In every story there is something, ok, maybe wrong club, wrong price, but certainly something, especially on this small scale.
I want this to be over with. As much as I love the speculation, it does get weary. Gino Peruzzi being the prime example. Roll on the start of the season! Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
Seems to me like pure posturing. It surely doesn`t matter how long he`s got left on his contract. If there`s a relegation release clause and he wants out, that`s it. Other than try to `re-buy` him with another contract here`s nothing Mehmet Dalman or anybody else can do about it.
