Anybody heard how he is? Looked like impact originally but think he was due a scan today?

Tom Flanagan will miss Tuesday’s fixture against Crewe Alexander at the Stadium of Light, with Jordan Willis also facing a fitness battle to face the Railwaymen.
The Northern Ireland international is set to see a specialist to assess an ankle injury sustained while on international duty, as Phil Parkinson also sweats on the fitness of Denver Hume.
The Lads are already without Arbenit Xhemajli and Morgan Feeney, but despite a plethora of defensive injuries, they boast the best defensive record in Sky Bet League One.
And speaking ahead of the game, Parkinson provided the latest news from the treatment room.
"Jordan has had an X-ray and there's no break, so that's good news,” he explained.
"His foot is just badly bruised and it came up in a lump straightaway, so we were worried about it but it is not as bad as first feared.”
He continued: "It's getting better by the day, and he will be assessed tomorrow.
"Unfortunately, Flanno came back from international duty with an ankle problem.
"He has had it scanned and will see a specialist tonight, so he won't be playing tomorrow.
“Denver has a good chance of playing but we will assess him in the morning.”

Surely we can beat a team like Crewe without risking further injury to key players..
Reading articles like that makes you realise how far we have fallen.

Not great - looks like Saunders might get a game

he also said in the same presser that its unlikely Sanderson will start

Looks like it will be the back 3 that finished on Saturday - Wright, McLaughlan, O'Nien

We dont always need to play 3 at the back though do we. Any decent manager can chop and change formations to work round selection issues and opponents.
Theres no reason why we cant play 442 this game with Wright and the new lad at CB

Yes - you are probably right - It's Sanderson not Saunders - my mistake.

Tom Flanagan is out of tomorrow's game due to an ankle injury, with Jordan Willis and Denver Hume also in a fitness battle to face Crewe Alexandra Football Club ...

I definitely don't disagree with you - but changing system so fundamentally when you've not conceded since the 2nd minute of the season is a bit iffy. If he's confident the lads can do a job as a 3 he should stick.

I agree its our best formation, but if needs must id rather see players played in their proper positions and having the right balance than making somebody a makeshift CB for the night.
Crewe arent exactly the best of teams in this league. We should be able to readjust against teams like this with the players we have at our disposal compared to them.

Please about Willis's scan mind.
When I saw the lad stand on his foot and they said it was swelling up. Classic signs of a broken bone in the foot.
But looks like its just bruising. Wouldn't imagine he'd play tomorrow but could well be back in for the week end.

Flannigan potential could be out for a few weeks some big concerns about him
