Giacc's vision and balls in behind are fantastci, that's what we need to see more of, it's about finding him a pocket of space.

If we get him right Defoe will be in his element running off the last man. If.

If you watch Silva tonight, or Coutinho, that is exactly the role Giacc could play for us.

At the moment we should be playing Giacc at no.10 in the hole, Defoe on the right, Lens on the left and Fletcher up front. Stick Catts and Mvilla in front of the back 4 and tell them to win the ball and give it to Giacc. Thats all city do with Silva, they keep the ball until they can give it to Silva and he plays in the forwards. If they can't get it though they keep the ball, no hoof, no long ball possession and wear you down.

Advocaat has said he's changing things for next match....I therefore suspect, if fit, Giaccherini is penciled in right now to start.

needs to be the 5th in a 5 man midfield , the so called luxury player we're told can't afford (sess), bollox get at em imo. IFRC him and wickham formed a pretty formidable partenership when we played exactly this way.

On the radio this morning (wireless for Juan) they said we could not do a cash plus player (Buckley and Graham mentioned) deal for Rhodes.
Blackburn are under some ffp type restrictions.
It would have to be cash.

I don't think Rhodes is a step up. Defoe and Fletcher are as good or better.

I would like us to get Alonso for LB and we could use PVA as LW and LB back up. Apparently he is going for £2 million.

Probably been said before, but I'd much rather Austin than Rhodes. He's proven at premier level and better fills our need for a target man type forward. That said, Rhodes was cracking for me in manager :)

I have a feeling that Rhodes will turn out to be a Jon Stead mark 2.

    Just been thinking about Austin.

He's the same as Fer, he can't pass a medical so based on us failing Fer & Lombaerts there's zero chance of us signing Austin.

Rondon to wba is a real sickener though when we are after a striker in that mould.

Keep hearing this but I don't even rate him, never impressed the few times I've seen him.

If we paid 12-15m? for him, I would be berating our chairman for wasting more money.

Surely there's more out there to buy than just Rhodes and Austin then? Do I have to get my scout in manager onto it?

Pato but for some reason no one is interested in him?? he would do well as a No.10 behind Defoe.

If we are looking for someone to lead the line Austin is the obvious choice. Or we stick with Fletcher and buy a genuine no.10 again Pato perfect.

Dwight Gayle off to Bristol City for £6m

Never understood why he didn't play more at Palace.

6 Million! ****ing hell.....that's a lorra dosh, although he does have pace and can finish. Not too many managers seem to have given him a constant run in the side though

I thought he was a decent player, didn't they pay about 10 for him?

I think he'll be back in this league.

I must be thinking of another transfer. He scored in THAT game vs Liverpool though, he's a legend just for that!
